You should be able to. You can also cancel with T-Mobile at any time without a penalty.

Ya, that's what I like about it. If I don't like tmobile or don't like the Nexus I could sell the Nexus and shut off service. I will keep my vzw unlimited and I love my Note 3 but I miss flashing roms and customizing. I could do that with nexus.
