Hi, I'm from iBOLT so I can answer the question. There are two things going on with the S5:
1. No DockMode support: Unfortunately Samsung have disabled the basic Android functionality of triggering the DockMode. This works great with our "NFC Connect Kits" on HTC, Moto, LG etc but not on S5. Basically it appears that Samsung does not want another App, like our Dock'n Drive, the CarHome Ultra or the Ulysse Speedometer type "car home" screen. We are working on a solution and expect before end of May to publish and updated DockMode and/or Dock'n Drive app with a work around.
2. No support for analogue audio out: All previous versions of Samsung Galaxy or Note handsets have featured the excellent "audio out" through the microUSB. Samsung's own Media dock takes advantage of this feature as well. The benefit is that the user can have one cable that connects to the microUSB and charges the phone and the other end also "splits" into an aux-out, allowing this to be plugged into the car-stereo for a good quality music integration. This feature is no longer supported on the S5 so any user would have to plug in both a charging cable (microUSB) and a separate aux-out to have car-stereo connection. This does not make any sense whatsoever as this functionality in our opinion was a major feature versus for example the iPhone. We have not found a technical solution for this yet but we are continuing to work on.
I hope the above makes sense?
Thanks! Mikael Pe
