Anybody Using Chromecast With A 720p HDTV?

I've got a Chromecast on the way and was wondering if anyone is using this device with a 720p only HDTV display? I read somewhere online that Chromecast outputs 1080p video by default and wanted to be sure that it will work with my 720p only office HDTV as well...TIA

720 here also and it produces a great picture!

My guess is it over scans a little. I have a older 720p Sony and it is great. I did hook it up to a 1080p TV though and that pic was amazing.
