Anybody with poor fluctuating signal?

Bars are nonsense, and to compare them is futile.

Download an app which reads in dBm in order to have a shot at meaningful comparisons.

I use CellMonitor, but there are oodles of them, and they all read the same thing on your phone, but display it differently with all the other information.

What does CellMonitor think of your Pixel 6's network/cellular connection?

My house is roughly equidistant from two towers in opposite directions, so it switches back and forth.

ETA: I checked, and they are not equidistant. The Band 71 tower is about 1800 Meters away, and the Band 12 tower is about 3900 Meters away.

Readings are usually between -103 dBm or so and -115 dBm or so, with the leaves off the trees. Worse during the leafy part of the year.

One is Band 71 (600 MHz)and the other is Band 12 (700 MHz).

-103 dBm is better signal than -115 dBm though.

-103 dBm I'd better signal than -115 dBm though.

My point was that the readings fluctuate within that range.

That was addressing the topic of the thread, which included the word "fluctuating".

They bounce around randomly and unpredictably.

I can't truly respond because my 5G signal is no worse with my GP6, than it was with my SGS21U. I think my area just sucks for 5G signal. with all of that being said, make sure that you have the updated SIM card in your Google Pixel 6 pro.

I assume you've all see the articles here on Android Central that the new Update has made a lot of people's phone cellular signal much worse?

From what I'm reading it is more of a problem with the European based update than the US update. I sideloaded that one and don't have any carrier connection issues.

Having received the December update in the UK I was in London yesterday and the signal was unusually poor. I mainly use it at home with WiFi but don't think it was an issue with my settings. Don't know if this is related to a broader problem or not. Coverage in bigger cities is usually very good.

My pixel 6 after December update will not connect to network, have done factory reset and tried two sims O2 / 3UK both work in another phone,
Fortunately I still have pixel 4 to use as the pixel 6 is a wi-Fi only device at present, it worked ok before update is this a software problem?.

Yes there is a known issue with the Pixel 6/pro, primarily in Europe, having network issues after getting the December update.

Yeah I've been getting this. Connection fluctuates from 5G to 4G down even to 3G, then goes back up. I think the December update is supposed to fix it.

Well seems like the December update made it even worse for me. Now I barely get any reception at all and can't make calls a lot of the time. Not sure how this got through testing, but needs an update asap.
