Anyone come from a Nexus 6P to the 8?

I've got an upgrade due and although I'm keeping my 6P and my daily driver (up to now the best Android phone I've had) I'd like something different to use as a "weekender". I think initially I'd have looked at the new Pixel 2xp but the screen issues have go me concerned. Has anybody gone from the 6P to the 8? Any of your impressions would be great . The only real concerns I'd have is for the camera(have a 2 year old Granddaughter) and the offset fingerprint scanner... Thanks in advance, David.
