Anyone ditching android for the Iphone 14 pro max with Dynamic Island

Idk if I'd consider that dynamic island inspired. Android has been showing notifications like that. Reminds me of Samsungs edge lighting. All Apple did was take the notifications from Android and make them into a function action. Playing with the feature on iPhone it does exactly what I thought it would distract from the whole punch cut out of the phone.

Yeah lol but still looks neat to play around with as there's nothing else we can do on iPhone

It's a bit like Lonely Island, but for VCs... it's basically just "I'm on a boat" and "Great day" on repeat.

Yep I will say that they did a good job with the integration. The pill shape is not annoying at all and in most cases blend in with the display. I've always hated the notch and thought that was the ugliest thing Apple could ever do. Glad to see that it's gone (at least on the pros). I will say also say that it seems like the dynamic island will have a lot of 3rd party support. Appolo for Reddit already mentioned support for the dynamic island in their description and I know Spotify has support as well so it's definitely something that will only get better with further iterations.

Damn peer pressure!!! I had to look. So Tmo will give me 1000 for my p6pro. And with credits, it will lower my monthly bill by 17 a month..... I guess I'll have an apple as a back up....

Honestly I'm getting excited about my iPhone 14 Pro Max. It won't arrive till the 30th and it'll be my secondary phone to my S22 Ultra

After checking it out today at Best buy it's gonna be a nice upgrade from my XS Max

That's what I traded in for the pro although I do love my 6 pro now that the software has ironed out most of my bugs. Holding off sending it back at least until the pixel 7 announcement in a couple weeks.
