Anyone else disappointed with their Note 7?

Interesting theory. The problem with it is that the reviewers' experiences have been overwhelmingly mirrored by the average buyers. Check out the stunning user rating average of 4.8 out of 5,on Best buy. Com.

I will never compare myself with people on bestbuy.com. Most, or in the least many of these people, are using a Note or even android phones for the first time. Most don't even know these forums exist.

To me, these guys aren't true authorities like the guys on this forum or an Android Central as a whole. There is a reason we found this place.. Lol.. I have been using smartphones for 11 years. Notes from the very first one. All of HTC best phones, I ve had them. Iphones, had them all.

That being said, I have established certain standards that I expect to be met or exceeded. I got to Bestbuy and Amazon and read hundreds of reviews on anything from tvs to the new surface pro 4, that I just bought. I do this because I am a casual purchaser of these devices, and need as much info and tips due to my lack of ignorance.

I have never went to any of these sites to read a smartphone review. I go to the tech sites, take their reviews with a grain of salt, and them come to Android Central or xda for the real professional reviews from you guys who actually use the phones and know what the heck you guys are talking about.. Lol...

Mind you, because we disagree means nothing to me. It makes me consider other perspectives and investigate the authenticity of my own opinions or findings. It's all a sharing of knowledge, guys despite our varying experiences..

Had the note 5 since day it came out and loved it.But no way its better than note 7 ,maybe you need to adjust your settings...by the way NO WAY camera is better than the Note 5 .

Actually not true. I sincerely hope the camera is better on the 7 and anticipate that it is. However, the scratching is real. Read the posts right here, in this very forum, real world experiences. And the realist experience I witnessed for my self.

I asked the Sprint rep to show me examples of the colors they had, as my coral blue wasn't in stock, hence me receiving it on Monday. She took the two she had, a silver and a coral blue, from under the display case. The coral blue had three inch long, parallel scratches to the back, at the bottom.

I commented about this to the rep, and she agreed that the glass was much more easily scratched on the new phone. These are phones under the glass and not on display for use by customers.

Because yours isn't scratched, or at least not yet, doesn't mean that someone else may not have had an issue. I wrote about the inferior feel in terms of build quality versus the note 5. This was before the phone was released. I compared both phones and the Note 5 just felt heavier and more solidly built, like the glass was thicker and more durable.
It's on record, I mentioned this, although I never anticipated this scratch controversy as I expected the new glass to be tougher than the previous by virtue of it being a newer and expectly improved generation.

Personally, I don't spend a second worrying about what might happen. These forums can be helpful when making an informed purchase. But the flip side is that it can also make you paranoid , and possibly miss out on the best phone experience of your life, worrying about something that may not even end up affecting you.

So are you saying the positive reviews of actual users from Best Buy mean nothing to you... The positive views of Amazon buyers mean nothing to you.... The positive views of almost every reviewer mean nothing to you.... Even the positive views of the vast majority here in this forum mean nothing to you.... Even all of these added together mean nothing to you... All that matters to you is the tiny minority here, some who have even admitted to not buying it... Who have a negative view?

I have no comment as you totally do not get my point.. Most of the people have no true knowledge of Android or top tier phones. Alot of them come form other phones, alot of times budget phones.

People here tend to have experienced top tier phones and have standards and expectations in line with a superior device. Why do you think we have wish lists of what we want in an upcoming device. Most amazon and best buy folks just want a phone that works and wouldn't know the difference..

That's exactly how Apple has been getting by all this time. Their people would tell you that their 16gb phone is all the storage anyone should need and there 4 year old screen and camera is the best ever.

Don't tell me you don't understand the concept of being impressed when you have no prior precedence or experience. I am also here for all the reviews, as the good ones provide hope. I pay attention to the bad ones because those are what count. Problems need attention, not the other way around. Ever heard the expression, don't fix it if it's not broken. Well if it's broken, you may just need to act, so that's what you are sensitive to..

I consider all the comments but trust the bad ones that will provide a warning and prevent buyer remorse. I expect the phone to perform well, it's cost almost a thousand dollars, after all. It's the reports that contradict this expectation that means the most as this may prevent me and others from wasting money..

Not disappointed at all. I've been using it for 8 days and I've had no issues to speak of. I keep reading about people having problems and like every other phone I've had in the last 3 years, I have none of the issues others seem to have.

I think it's just more concentrated here on AC because people tend to hop on the horn when they have an issue more than when they have pure enjoyment. Which is okay, because I like knowing about potential issues or maybe I have an answer to those that need troubleshooting.

Sometimes it's just downright obnoxious, but most of the time it's good.

My phones have been awesome. The only issue I ever had was when I took advantage of the free iPhone 5C when I switched to Verizon from AT&T.

If I went totally by negative experiences of certain users, I'd never purchase another phone. Every OEM forum is littered with broken, bricked, lagged, buggy, not worth it, returned devices. It's really become what these forums are, a place for people with issues looking for help. Honestly I put more stock in opinions like yours.

I like it, my complaints are minor and supposed to be getting addressed, like bringing back action memo.

I love it so far!

We have suggested some fixes for you and I have asked you a couple of questions but it seems you aren't interested in following up on either.
I am not using Samsung+. Get over it.

I have done some things which made it somewhat better, but there is still lag. Are you employed by Samsung? You are literally all over this board

Not disappointed at all. I've only had my Note 7 for a week, so it's a bit early for me to be critical. So far, I'm very pleased with it. I honestly can't think of anything I don't like.

No I'm not employed by Samsung, I am all over the board because I am an Android Central Team Member. We are here to help members and there have been Team Members and forum members try to help you.

I'm not sure why you don't want to call Samsung Plus if you are having issues that can't be resolved.

Satisfied with Note 7 and the best phone I have used so far. Did not use many smartphones before though

iPhone 3GS -> Galaxy Nexus -> Note 3 -> LG G4 -> Note 7

That is because I don't want them tunneling into my phone. The lag is so random, I wish I could record it. I know I'm not the only one either.

So you have the exynos or snapdragon version? The snapdragon seems to be flawed. It works great after a reset. Then it goes to crap, IMO. I'm used to snappier devices. So the lag does bother me

The compass isn't as accurate as the Moto's either.

They don't have to remote in if you talk to them. That is just a good way for them to see the lag. They are a specialized customer support and tech support group.

My Note 7 isn't here yet, I'm still on my Note 5.

Did you use Smart Switch to set up your Note 7? Did you restore anything when you set up your Note 7? Or did you set it up as a new device?

Then how can you give advice if you don't own the device?

I have dealt with Samsung before. They are incompetent. Im sure they are already monitoring this board

The lag is there. It's been confirmed by reviewers. Especially the snapdragon 820

I can give advice because I'm very familiar with Samsung phones. I've owned every one and I use Samsung exclusively. Thr minor differences that I can't put my hands on a Note 7 yet to test, I will get someone else that has one.

I'm very familiar with Samsung phones and Android in general.

Thank you. I feel the same way. While I don't discount every complaint because obviously any device can have issues, I do understand that people come to the boards more so for help or to just complain. Hopefully more for help.
