Anyone else giving the new Edge browser a try?

I had been running the beta off and on for a few months on my Windows 10 laptop. Installed the new official release on the Note 10, Tab S6, and my laptop yesterday. Finished fine tuning it today and have all my bookmarks and passwords synced.

So far so good, I like it. I did have a little issue getting the android version to sync to the correct set of bookmarks. I had to logout and delete them on the tablet and Note a couple of times to finally get it right.

LOL I feel kinda same about MS, but it is more because I used to work for them..... Never again....

I like Chrome also, on Windows it seems "6 in one, half a dozen the other". I've found a few things I like better with Edge on Android. Accessing favorites is the biggest so far, they are just one tap away in the tablet version and very clearly marked in the phone version after opening the menu.

Time will tell, I'm going to give it a week or two and see how it goes. It's going to have to be really good to replace the Samsung browser on my mobile devices. However, having a smooth synced experience across all three devices is a big plus. I know Chrome is capable of this, I just like the Samsung browser better on mobile devices.

I use it, it's much better.....I have yet to figure out how to save a file and open it in it's native app though....it dumps it in the download folder and the only option is to delete it...might be a bug....might be by design......my preference would be to download the file, put it on my sd card and review as I want.....not sure if anyone else has a work around for this or a setting I've missed

Chrome all the way... I even have a chromebook coming. Microsoft is trash.because users cant choose when to update...

I've been using it since the early dev releases, once it became more stable, I've been using it as my default browser, for quite a while now. At my work we use chrome enterprise but I like edge better. I dont use it on mobile, only desktop. There's a lot of things stripped out that I dont like in chrome, basically a stripped down version of chrome with the Microsoft design.

What will be interesting is what Microsoft does with their apps that only work in IE or the old version of Edge. I'm an O365 admin and there are several apps I use in a daily basis that I can't run in the new Edge.

I was using the enterprise version of the Edge Beta with the IE flag set for compatibility on some sites. I used "IE Mode" mostly for Cisco Call Manager and Unity. There was a time they would only work with IE, they seem to work just fine with a Chrome based browser now. I can even make configuration changes from my tablet with the new Edge or Chrome mobile browser.

Do you know if the official release came in an enterprise version with "IE Mode"? Once I realized I could work in my Cisco phone system with Chrome I dropped the enterprise version.

I have a love/hate relationship with Chrome OS, mostly hate lately. I purchased 10 chromeboxes about 2 years ago and now, for no apparent reason, Google has decided to end support for them. This planned obsolescence of a box that is still very capable of performing as needed has really turned me off on Chrome OS.

I also purchased 25 Lenovo C330 Chromebooks for another project. After about 6 months of working perfectly, Google decided to remove a flag for "touch events". This made the chromebook useless for our needs. I was able to find a workaround, we installed the Firefox android app and are able to continue using them.

I'm now considering taking the older PCs I would otherwise get rid of and installing something like Ubuntu and using to replace the chromeboxes.

I've only used Chrome and Samsung's browser and prefer the latter.

Opera is good alternative for users who like ad blocking in mobile version and sync with desktop version. Chrome lacks ad blocking and Samsung Internet doesn't have desktop version.

I've had the betas on my HP Laptop and Mate 20 Pro, they work great and very easy to make the switch to the new Edge

Edge works well with multple profiles .. or in my case different MS accounts. Now I finally can have my work related bookmarks and browsing history being synchronized over all devices.

I've been using it as my default browser on my desktops and laptops for quite some time now. I've switched to it from chrome on my mobile devices just to sync all of my favorites and forms. It's been a pretty good experience and I haven't run into any issues other than the stupid "Google services work best with chrome." popups I get when going to Youtube every now and then. I'm a sysadmin for my organization and if they get collection sync working, I'm going to recommend it to IT to try it as their default browser. If it goes well, I'll recommend that we switch the organization to it after year or two of stability from chrome.

I'm using the Edge browser for Android and absolutely love it, far superior to Chrome IMO.

Everything from themes, searching, favorites, organization, tab management, speed, to sharing is better.

Also downloaded the new Edge for Windows 10 and ditched Chrome there too.
Memory foot print is lighter, its faster, and easier to manage privacy.

Yeah I'm running Android but I'd like to limit how much of my data Google steals from me.

I have no problem with using the edge browsers on both my laptop and phone. They run fast and sync nicely.
