Anyone else having issues with email notifications

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions but so far, still hit and miss for me. More miss than anything. I can't believe how much issue this is, don't remember it ever being so frustrating.

This only on the lock screen? Do you use a 3rd party launcher?

Stock launcher, lock screen yes and unlocked sometimes it still takes a while or open app to get them

You use any VPN ,Ad blockers ?

Try it off for a bit and maybe restart the phone afterwards

It was the same way on the Note 20 Ultra. It has something to do with the "Doze" feature and just plain sucks.

Absolutely, the S21 Ultra has the same exact notification problem I had on the Note 20 ultra.

It's funny how some apps like my Ring alarm & Aqua Mail the instant push notifications work perfect, most other apps like eBay, PayPal, banking ETC just don't work until I actually turn on the screen.

Could the other apps be going into battery saving mode? I've had that happen, even with aquamail until I changed the setting.

I have tried to get Gmail and my other email notifications to work in a timely manner. For Gmail I have signed out, cleared cache and data then restarted phone then added back. I have gone in the battery section to make sure it doesn't put to sleep. Notifications aren't showing up for either emails. I have to wake the screen a vast majority of time, sometimes for a notification it can take 15 minutes. I have spent well over 3 hours to make this work better. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. Open to suggestions. Does Outlook work better than Gmail in this regard. I can't be missing or constantly having to open my phone or app to make sure I'm getting notifications. Sorry for the long reply. Thanks

For personal email, I use the Samsung email app. I like it because its just a simple effect email app like the stock apple email app. For work I use the outlook app because of office 365. Both apps have zero issues getting notifications in a timely manner.

I would probably strictly use the outlook app. I like to keep work and personal accounts in separate apps. Keeps me from accidentally sending an email from the wrong account haha.

Not much. I did go into settings and turned off the power saving toggle for gmail and a couple other apps. Didn't seem to help. My Pixel 4 XL doesn't seem to suffer from this.

Do you have enhanced processing on in device care , also go into gmail settings under your account tap notification if it set to priority choose all

I don't have the enhanced processing on, I'll try that. I do have the Gmail set to all.
