Anyone else having problems with three button headsets?

Hi!

I recently got my HTC One M8 back from repair. I sent it in because the headset jack didn't respond correctly to button presses on my headset (it recognizes both left and right click as right click). However, after a factory reset the problem persists.

Out of curiosity, has anyone else had this problem?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the headset specifically "Made for iPhone"? If so, there may be subtle incompatibilities with Android devices.

It's not for iPhone, it's actually for Android, and it works fine on other devices. I know that the M8 has some problems with redialing and such, but I've never heard about this.

Just to be sure, use a can of compressed air to blow out the jack, in case there's some debris stuck in there.

Have tried that, as well as cleaning it thoroughly, but no dice. :/ Sent it in again and it was sent to an external repair joint, hopefully they will be able to fix it.
