Anyone else miss the size/width of the Nexus 6? Love my 6P, but wish it were a tad bigger. :)

I love my Nexus 6P. It's a great device for all the reasons everyone else has previously mentioned. BUT, I also loved my Nexus 6.

I'm about 6 feet tall with average guy-size hands. The 6 was a big phone, but I never felt like it was a huge phone. In fact, there were times I wished it had a slightly larger screen.

And, I never minded the size of the 6. I had been waiting for years to get a really big Note-like Nexus. So, even though it was expensive, I jumped on it right away and never regretted it. It was a big phone, but never too big for me. I don't carry phones in my pocket, but instead generally use a belt clip.

I've since given my wife my old Nexus 6 after getting my 6P. And, while I don't want to go back to it (largely due to the better camera and the fingerprint sensor, I get a little sad every time I see it sitting in my Tylt Vu qi charger.) The only thing I don't miss is the weight. It did feel like a bit of a brick, but I also felt like it was a sturdy piece of hardware.

Am I alone is wishing Google had kept the same dimensions with the 6P, but perhaps, whittled-off a little bit of weight???

I prefer the 6P. My hands are by no means small, but the 6 was always just a tad too wide and my hand would get very tired holding it for any length of time plus it tended to dig into the sensitive area between my thumb and forefinger.

I think you are in the minority on this.

I enjoyed my time with the n6, but towards the end the size was getting to be a drag. I wish the phone was a bit smaller, maybe 5.5 inches or so.

6p 👌

I agree that I'm almost definitely in the minority here. But, I bet there are a few others out there. ;)

I remember when I got my Nexus 5 and thought it was a little too big for me. And, even before that, my original EVO 4G seemed SO HUGE back in the day. (I recall seeing a leaked image from a Russian website and I was so excited to get such a big phone.)

As I get older and my eyes get weaker, the really big screens become more important to me than the challeges of carrying or holding the device, I guess.

I felt that way at first. The 6p is not as wide, slippier and crazy thin, and at first it was not easy to step down in size, but after a few days I definitely like it more, so much more comfortable in the hand. I still do miss the 6 some though but the build quality is definitely better on the 6p too

I loved the big screen but it was just a little too wide. The 6p is the perfect size IMO...
I am so impressed with Hauwei's quality!

Count me in the monitory. The 6p looks so tall because of its width. Yes the 6 was a big phone but it was proportional and didn't look as tall as the 6p.

Yes, I had doubts the 1st few weeks after upgrading, especially that both of my devices were running marshmallow. If it wasn't for the better camera, the upgrade is not worth it (just my opinion). I have Huawei watch paired with my phone and set as smart lock so I almost never use the finger print scanner.

OP you are not alone. It was tough letting go of my Nexus 6. The 1st time i ever felt this way about a phone after an upgrade. That says something.

And, just to show how much I didn't mind the form-factor of the N6, I always used a case, and usually a SUPCase Unicorn Beetle Heavy Duty or a Seidio Dilex, which each added a LOT to the size. ;)

I like big phones, but the width on the 6 bothered me. The 6p is nice cause I can use it one handed. Wasn't able to on the 6.

Played with the 6 a few days ago and it's way too big in my opinion. But hey, to each his own I guess
