I noticed apps missing in past and I think even noted it on the forums once...
But I was running LG Smart Cleaning in settings today and when I freed up space from idle apps,
I saw apps I know I had installed and checked for them in my app drawer and they were gone.
Qualcomm Battery Guru was definitely one I had installed and was gone after the cleaning.
My Motorola Connect for my 360 was uninstalled. Android Wear, Fing, Logmein, Teamviewer, etc... How irritating.
I have a lot of apps installed I don't necessarily use often so first couple of times just didnt know if I had them or uninstalled them myself.
But now I am sure.
Anyone else? Boy I hope lollipop resolves this.

Dang it, my Swiftkey was uninstalled again. I'm going to stop using Smart Cleaning. 3rd party cleaner I tried was better than this but thought I'd stick with OEM.

Yes, apps idle for longer than a certain time are stowed away in Update Centre, App Updates....scroll to the bottom.
You can set your preferred idle period in Settings, General, Smart Cleaning, 3-dot menu.
It's an entertaining trick of the G3's, almost as if tidying up disapprovingly, but of course it has a serious purpose.

Yes it is a feature that lg put in the phone. If you go to smart cleaning, and settings in this, check it to six months. For some reason, apps get deleted if left idle by the time set

Thanks guys I will try... but what's puzzling is... Swiftkey? I use it every day! And could have sworn used my Connect for my Moto360 and even Chromcast. But I'll look into the settings. Thanks.

Feature, my ruddy bum! Really stupid to not warn when an app behaves this way. Probably half my apps are not used regularly, but have a favored characteristic for a specific chore. Then there are apps like the flight scheduler which I might use twice a year t h ese days.

Now, if only they would uninstall some of the needless apps that come pre-installed on the phone. That'd be the day...

Just noticed this after running Smart Cleaning for the first time and most of the apps it wanted to delete were the pre-installed ones and it seems to have rid my phone of 100MB of them. Hooray!

I too noticed the same. It also deleted my pics I had put in my gallery on my Lg G3 which I just bought not even two weeks ago.

Thank you, I will try that - it took me a whole day to manually put it back together again after I cleaned idle apps. Didn't what to restore from an old image and then go thru the updates again. What I pain the the arse!

You should just clear cache in temporary files but not the idle app cause you'll end up uninstalling app that you're not using since long!
