Anyone else waiting for Apple to reveal the iPhone 8 before buying the Note 8?

You hit Apples adjectives gibberish on the money! that's coming from both iPhone and android user. Apple speaks in flattering adjectives, its really annoying!

Hey Tim Cook, join me in singing somewhere over the rainbow!

Their announcements are always so self congratulatory. Always balanced with an aww shucks our customers love us and we couldn't do it without them.

"We're inspired by you"!!!

It's so corny but fun to watch

One of the things I've noticed with my S8 and now Note 8 is that even if I have my iris scanning set up for the phone, I still have to have fingerprint set up for banking and other apps.... those entities don't accept the iris. What's going to happen for folks that get the new iPhone who have no way to use a fingerprint? I guess they have to go back to remembering a password....

Apple will get them to accept their set up, they tend to get what they want.

Nothing about the iPhone X to get excited about. Just watched Keynote. Utterly underwhelming... Just waiting for my Note 8 to arrive on Friday!

I agree I just saw the whole keynote nothing exciting I won't lie the design of the X looks nice everything else is outdated specs very happy with my Note 8 ☺

I have both iPhones and Android phones and switch it up periodically. Just finished watching the Apple announcement and must say that I wasn't impressed. I won't rule out the possibility of picking up an X at some point, but on first glance, nothing exciting. The only thing that could change my mind is camera output.

Isn't that how it was when Samsung announced the note 8? Specially on how us customers got them here.

That was exactly my thought. I login into to many apps daily that require fingerprint. It will take to long for companies to update their apps for me to jump right on board.

Just saw they keynote also. I'm glad I got the Note 8 now, it has more to offer than the iPhone X. The camera specs/features do look nice though, so can't wait to see "Note 8 vs iPhone X camera test" videos on YouTube.

"The first LED display that deserves to be in an iPhone."

I guess that's what you say when you're late to the game. It's taking everything I've got to keep my fanboyism under control. I try to look at Apple objectively, but comments like that make me want to avoid Apple altogether.

No! I am on Verizon and for whatever reason the iphone does not get as good a signal as my Samsungs. We have multiple apple products and they all are the same as far as less signal strength. My son thought I was crazy but he would drop calls and not be able to use the wifi in several places in the house and I would go right beside him with my S7edge and have a great signal. ??? So...no!

I switched last year from iPhone to the note 7, then to the S8 Plus and soon to be with the Note 8 (all on verizon) and i have just the opposite experience. I had better signal with the iPhones.

Just watched the keynote. Wireless charging and OLED screen. Things we've enjoyed for YEARS.

And some gimmicky animojis.

Note8 is more of a tool than a toy. I need tools.

I'm sure, even at the $1,000 price, they will sell tons. I'll never go back to Apple and the abomination that is called iTunes.

Overall, not impressed with the iPhone X. Note8 with sPen has much more versatility and customization options.

Never underestimate the power of very successful marketing and peer pressure.

This is the planet of zealots, whether religious, corporate, cults and in this case certain brands.

The hardcore iSheep would never get it. They keep buying old technology as new and paying 3 times the price for it. Still on LCD? OMG!!!! Think of the markup on the iPhone 8s. No wonder Apple has so much cash. They just showed a LG V30 look alike and claimed they reinvented the phone. Yikes! (and the X in made by Samsung in parts)

Apple is the most successfully marketed brand in the world. And all that was because of Steve Job's "Think Different" campaign, which really was a code word for "do not think different," do what we tell you. It's just like the movie "They Live" with the subliminal message beneath the real message on billboards.

Apple doesn't have a plant, they don't deal with union factory workers and their pensions and don't make anything. They are a design and marketing company that rely for the most part on the uninformed (with low sense of self public). These do not include people who browse and contribute to technology forums. Their claim of "ease of use" or "simplicity"' suggests their users aren't bright. :) haha

It will take a while for apps to start accepting face ID.
