I live in Colorado Springs and regardless of the fact my phone has a clear view of the sky at all times it will frequently get me off track regarding the GPS. Anyone else having this issue? Google said it is an isolated incidental and no other reports.

Spent the whole weekend in a national Forest in NC, backpacking. My pixel xl was the navigator. Used back country pro, on airplane mode some time and it never lost a single. Tracked my full 15 miles for me 2 leaders and 10 scouts.

This is more like driving down the road it will tell me as I passed the exit that I needed to take or I'm already beyond the exit and it tells me right turn ahead etcetera. Also too when I was driving multiple times it will try and reroute me and I know that I am on the correct Road.

In my experiences, in years past with different phones, if I had problems on the road it would be worst in the field. So I am not sure I have enough time overall using it to tell you, but so far it has worked without issue. I drove to and from for the trip using it, no problems. I have used it maybe 5-8 times on the road for short trips to test various features. and of course as I mentioned the hiking trip thru the woods, around, between, behind mountains. and had no issues.

This might all have something to do with connectivity and signal strength issues many of us have been encountering not being able to hold on to a signal
