I lied, instead of going through Samsung, I decided to go through att, In fact I just got home. They gave me 1k trade in for my note 10+. Just have to keep it three years to take advantage of the deal. Normally I would have had it fedex to me but I made the fedex driver mad the other day so I do not want to take a chance. Will be picking it up at the store. I preordered the s23 ultra, cream color. Hope it will arrive early as the last several models.

Keep what for three years? The contract through ATT, or the phone itself?

Why, because the changes are small? That can be said for every upgrade since the note 7 at least. The note 7 was the last major upgrade software wise and hardware, unfortunately we had to wait for the note 8 to keep it.

To me, it makes no sense at all to "upgrade" to the S23U if one already has an S22U.

Obviously if one has a Note 10/+ or earlier, then yes

As always, it makes sense if and only if you value the changes more than you value the cost of the upgrade. Some people will, some won't. Not everyone is alike.

Well that's you, for some it's what they want. Some really want better camera options. I on the other hand am just addicted to having the newest phone. My phone are always under warranty for the most part. With trade INS going down I may start backing off yearly upgrades.

If the fold 5 has the same crappy trade INS, the fold 5 will have to have a lot of upgrades to justify it, like spen silo and more.

For me there are a few reasons, first of all I am finally getting the Snapdragon officially without importing it to the UK!
Although the Exynos 2200 has been ok on my S22 Ultra I still have been having slight issues with crashing when my phone rings and a graphical glitch sometimes when I turn off the screen. Battery life is going to be improved (even though the Exynos wasn't that bad) With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 comes other benefits with camera processing and gaming for starters.

The S23 Ultra 512GB has cost me £575.10 after trade in and discounts which isn't the best but I am happy enough this time around and I'm pretty sure I will hang on to this until at least the S25/S26 Ultra offerings.

Nah. Lol. I'm content with my sky blue s22 ultra. I'm waiting to see what they do with the fold and flip 5. Only reason why I got the s22 ultra last year cause or the spen and they ended the note series. Even tho the ultra is the note basically lol. For all the ones upgrading to the s23 congrats and enjoy.

For me personally I do it cause I like having an unlocked phone. Don't care for phones tied to a carrier anymore. I 99% of the time have a trade in tho. Congrats on new phone.

The way I'm looking at it is with Amazon at $1,199 and a $100 gift card you net out at $1,099. Going directly through Samsung it's $1,139 (after $60 teacher/student/parent) discount, but I show $150 in Samsung credit plus you get a choice of some different colors if that's important to you.

Same by me. TMobile is absolutely horrible at home and at work and this is NYC! I keep Verizon because I also have FIOS and I get a discount monthly for having both. I will say though that Verizon has even gotten a little iffy by me but overall still the best service for me.

I got an ultra and a watch5 pro for under $1,300 (before $100 discount for trading in an old S8+ I had in a drawer.)

I am fortunate because where I am the three carriers all work att, Verizon and tmobile . I prefer t mobile.They have been best price, best service, best customer service etc. For me. I had horrible customer service with vzw att was good too. . I prefer unlocked phone that I own outright. I don't want a carrier contract. So I buy unlocked from Samsung Direct.

WAS EXCITED … Just got my SG23U,(yeah no signature either) & my Charging Port on TCL10PRO is finally done. Charging cord rigged up with elastic hair bands, & Battery indicator Flashed~ That's that. Tried fixing port myself(gotta love AC) - should have professionally done. Anyone wanna Visit ?????? FL?
Used Card Reader to transfer SD card, 3 hours transferring to old Sony Vaio computer.
What are your methods of restoring data - mostly Images? (sorry if in wrong thread ;/
Oh, the good ole days of SD Cards.
