Anyone figure out how to remove T-Mobile Boot & Shutdown animations/sounds?

As the title states, has anyone had luck with this? I had removed the T-Mobile sounds when I first got the LG Optimus T, but I just re-flashed the KDZ back to 100% stock and of course they are back.

Silent Boot

I use Silent Boot, can get this for free at Android Market. There were some caveats listed that I read through, so do that before you use it, but it works great for me on my Optimus T - ha ha a rhyme. That boot and shutdown noise was really annoying!

Open up adb and type this

adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/mtd/mtdblock3 /system
rm /system/audio/poweron/poweron.mp3

of course if you have a custom boot.img just type
adb remount
adb shell
rm /rm /system/audio/poweron/poweron.mp3

Thanks I removed the start up sounds and reflashed a custom boot screen animation. Now I need to figure out how to remove the T-Mobile shutdown splash screen and sounds. Grrrrrrrr
