Anyone flash 4.0.4 yet?

Yea I did it that way. I'm having trouble unlocking my boot loader though so i can try the update :-(. You tube is not helping and no one seems to have a MAC. I miss the old way of doing an update.zip on my Droid

I have a Mac. Hang tight, I'll get you the guide I used. If you're comfortable with Terminal (and by comfortable I mean a complete novice, you'll be fine).

Edit: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ga...k-bootloader-root-using-mac-instructions.html. The best and simplest guide I have found. Follow it to a T and you will be A-OK. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Be aware that unlocking the bootlaoader will wipe EVERYTHING on your device (including any pictures you have). Make sure you have copied whatever you don't want to lose to your computer.

This. Make sure you download the Android File Transfer thing, then select all and drag it to a folder. I didn't particularly care about my stuff, so I didn't find other ways of backing up (or endeavored to find them).

Be patient too. I didn't have any batt pulls, but it could happen.

Hmm. No way to do a factory reset? I'd say reset it and go from there.

Did you follow all the steps in that link? That should take you through the rooting process. You installed that file and all that jazz? Not saying you didn't, just trying to get a better understanding of where you are in the process and what you did.

My boot loader is unlocked but I'm not rooted. I downloaded the files from a sticky on AC. Don't know what I am doing wrong. My phone isn't boot looping anymore its back to normal but I would love to get 4.0.4 on there. Don't really care about rooting but if thats what I have to do to get it on there I will do it

Hmm. Not sure how to help you in the middle of the process like that, unless you can look at the link I posted and go from where applicable. I'd try that.

Does anybody know if the update fixes the keyboard lag in landscape mode

From the best android phone PERIOD. Galaxy Nexus.

one of the guys on the XDA forums said that he did not notice any keyboard lag after the update, so take from that what you will.

How do you extract files on a MaC? Maybe thats my problem. the terminal keeps saying file not found every time
I type a command.
