You can do that with the Widgetsoid App.

No, you can't. If you'd read any thread on the subject you'll find the option does not exist in the android code any longer, and any app that relies on the old code, will break. These apps tell you they are working, when in fact they don't. It no longer functions the same as pre 4.0.

I saw on the change log that there was a change to the quick controls in the browser. Does anyone know what the changes are.

I never used them before, so I couldn't actually tell you what changed. placing your finger in the cornor of the screen brings that menu up, and it will do it in any corner.

Yes, this is fixed as well. Im already seeing good things with my battery life and I've only been flashed with 4.0.4 for about 2 hours.

Seriously, this is making think about learning how to unluck my GN bootloader....lol

i believe there are just more options now with the quick controls. much better than 4.0.2. i just cant remember what they added since i dumped stock 4.0.2 about 2 days into the phone.

there is no learning necessary. download Wugs installer and press some buttons. he already did the "learning" for you. it is dead simple. just make sure you back up your "SD card" as the unlock process erases all that. also you can use his tool to backup all your apps before the unlock. then once unlocked you just restore everything. easy peasy, lemon squeezy. i ran into a hicup somewhere along the line and it only took me about 20 minutes to do everything (once the file was downloaded)

I am unlocked but not rooted can you update to 4.0.4 without rooting?

Yeah you can. I'm the same as you (bootloader unlocked but not rooted). On XDA-developer-forums they have a real good toolkit you can download and do all kinds of stuff. I just did the update and I like it so far. It's improved my 4G reception in my home. It still not the best but better than before. I couldn't hardly ever get 4G now I get it. If it improves in my home, that's doing a lot so I imagine everyone else may have better results.

Here are the links on how to do it.

So battery life has improved significantly? That's awesome. I have been having the Android OS awake time issue as well. Really looking forward to the OTA. I don't flash roms or anything.

But I can wait if it's some time this month

awake time is down dramatically and battery life is AWESOME ... only down 35% with some moderate to decently stout usage for 8 hours

i haven't had the update long enough to comment on the battery life but, the sound is improved and it does run smoother overall.

That is wrong actually :). You just need to "swipe" or tap your finger in from either side of the screen its got nothing to do with the corners.
Then you'll see all of the quick controls. From your picture, your only seeing a few.
