Anyone getting a Moto Z?

And mini HDMI out?

Oh no. Nobody is doing that any more. I miss it. I also miss ir blaster, dual cdma radios, easily controllable multicolor led, and usable fm chip.

The main issue with adapters is using them when mobile. Carrying around more stuff isn't convenient, and it's something else to lose or forget. Yes, I know the adapters are small, but the small size just makes them easier to lose or leave in my pocket and run through the washer.
How about carrying around the snap-on mods one might think they might need in the course of their day let alone worrying about adapters.

A link on the last page to moto's site regarding the mods didn't give any price info, probably to soon yet, but wondering about totals. One of the tech sites guesstimated phone price at $450 to $500. Mods are extra so maybe $100+ per mod depending on which one. Also most likely more to come. This is getting to be an expensive device if one uses it as advertised with the mods. I would imagine Lenovo is really betting on mods as their cash cow.

I don't think I can get used to using adaptors for my headphones...

Well, the content they played through the single front firing speaker was heard decently for a front facing smartphone speaker, and it was not tinny. It was clear, but not as loud as a dual front facing setup. Speaker is solid, but largely enhanced by the JBL mod.

Re: Anyone getting one?

I wouldn't bet that the unlocked version will work with Verizon - especially since they are selling a Droid edition of the exact same phone.

Your assumption would be wrong.

The unlocked versions are GSM only, meaning they will only work with AT&T or T-Mobile's networks (or MVNOs that operate on those networks).

Re: Anyone getting one?

Its interesting but also confusing to buy, If Moto Z force was available as unlock it will make more sense to buy it. especially cuz of battery. those modules looks cool but I doubt I'll be buying any of them except of back covers(maybe). for me it would have been instance buy if they kept the stereo speakers and fingerprint sensor at the back.. well I prefer phones with stereo speakers and AMOLED displays they are great for viewing movies and multimedia content. only reason I'll buy Moto Z unlocked is if its priced as last year Moto X but I doubt that would be true. I'm expecting the starting price from $500 for 32GB.. which is not bad given those specs.. but then I already own HTC 10 which I dearly love but I've my nexus 6p as well which need to replace soon

I have a feeling that the single speaker's audio quality will be just as good as the past Moto X's - it's just not dual anymore.

Yes! I love the mods and the thin architecture of the phones. Moto Voice is great! The only reason I didn't keep my Moto X Pure was it's size and heft.

I am between the z force and htc10.
+ Amoled
+ No headphone (dream of one cable in the car)
+ Hope for a mod for daydream
+ I'm on Verizon and still using my 13 moto X, so I am due
+ My partner will want the Kate Spade mods. She may go normal z.

- I don't care about thinness, I care about footprint and the thing is huge
- htc 10 seems as close as I can get to my 13 moto X without going Nexus, can't wait till September / October Nexus delivery

Neutral - f2.2 camera and high mp. I just don't trust camera specs anymore. Have to see reviews.

Neutral - shatter screen thing, if I go htc I'd get it from htc even for Verizon and would get uh oh anyway.
