Anyone Getting the "Itch"

You bought another Note 8? Still have the iPhone X?

I did. The thing was that I was getting to the point where I had to return it or keep it so I took it back but with a very heavy heart and unsure if I was doing the right thing or not.

Then I saw that Samsung were offering the Note 8 at a reduced rate on T-Mobile on their website and with a further discount on trade-in so it seemed like an amazing offer.

Plus, browsing this forum really doesn't help.

The note is on its way but I'm not totally sure I'll keep it. I am rather enjoying the iPhone X now even if it is a tad boring. We'll see. I am ordering the much more polished apps but things like Car Play and Siri are awful compared to Android Auto and Google Assistant. Who knows.

I did miss using my Apple Watch which I now have back and I couldn't find an Android Wear with equivalent specs other than the Huawei Watch 2 Classic but it's not as nice.

Ho hum...

I have been switching back and forth like a mad woman between my Note 8 and iPhone 8 Plus ugh. I don't think at this point that I could get rid of one or the other. But I will say this...Everytime I switch away from my iPhone I feel a sense of guilt. Like wait, do I really wanna activate my Note and turn off iMessage again? Lol. Why do I feel guilty leaving my iPhone. It's crazy. Especially when I know the Note is the better phone in many aspects. All I can say is when you do get the Note, keep it. Your just the type of person that needs to have both options like me so you don't get phone envy when you see someone else with an Android phone lol

The iPhone X is one smooth operating phone. It can be a bit intoxicating and iOS boring at the same time.

I never really thought of the iphone or ios being boring. I have always had fun with an iphone, but I like the Note8 better. It seems to fit my lifestyle better. But, the iphone X seems to be a brilliant smartphone.

You may keep switching because there is so much to like about both smartphones. I can come up with a pretty extensive pros and cons lest you either smartphone. but, I could easily use the iphone as a daily driver and have no issues. The only issue I would have is that it isn't the Note 8.

Re: Anyone Getting the "Itch"

Some people just love the latest and greatest tech.

I could ask the same question on a similar subject.. how could anyone here be excited for Oreo or think it'll be better? I just remember everyone saying they don't need it since their Notes run fine.

Things sure do change when things draw near to releasing ;).

I couldn't care less about oreo to be honest

Think you may have mentioned before but what's your reasons for not using/wanting a Samsung Gear watch? if your gonna use a Samsung handset it's by far the best wearable to use.

I like the Note 8 a lot but I want new phone! I'm starting a business so money is tight. I own the Note 8, Tab s3 for Square, and I also own the s8 Plus. I want the s9 Plus and also want the Note 9.

I'm pretty itchy.

Trying my hardest to wait until the real release this year, the Note 9..

Unless the pixel 3 ups Google's game around the same time.

Or ....yada yada etc etc..

you don't want much do you :-)
I thought I was bad with 2 Note 8s LOL

I never once considered getting the S9 or any other "upgrade" from the Note8. I'm basically back on the once a year Note upgrade cycle again. I don't see anything else out there that really tops it. The only thing the S9 has going for it is the camera. I've never had any issues with the Note8 camera. Then, you take away the Note advantages and it's a no decision.
Until T-mobile decides to really put a damper on upgrades, I'll probably be getting Notes from here on out.
Well said. Nothing going to replace my Note 8 except Note 9

Does anyone believe they could keep their Note 8 until the Note X comes out?

Note X we don't really know anything about anyway, we don't even know if it's going to be 2018/19/20 so I will read the rumours for fun but the device itself is not on my future upgrade list yet.
Note 9 I'll probably end up getting but only because I have 2 Note 8 and can subsidise the cost by selling one of them, if it wasn't for that I would most likely have just kept the Note 8 until 2019

Also, the case companies like Spigen and Otterbox have come out with new lines of cases for the Galaxy line. Spigen has a couple new rugged cases and Otterbox has one that's a step up from the Defender. Hopefully the note 9 has these.

This isn't fair! I want S9 Plus! I own the s8 plus, Tab s3 and Note 8. I've spent a lot on devices lately. How can I wait until Sept! I bet a hurricane will cause me to get mine late again in sept.
