I think a lot of us share these issues.I switch often between devices. they all have things I like about them. I have issues lol.![]()
The problem I would have with switching now is that I have a habit of making my iphone basically the closest you could get to a Pixel. I would have everything Google on it.I'd try the bigger iPhone X when it comes out.....maybe....but I LOVE having this s-pen
My current itch is to test out the Nokia 8. I wanted to get a Note 8 this year but stayed away as I preferred something more compact.
My guess is that HMD is reviving the Sirroco line from the old days. At this point, they need to redo the camera app.Just been reading online that the Nokia 8 Pro might just be around the corner. Snapdragon 845 and a Zeiss 'Pentalens' camera which rotates for variable focal lengths. It sounds like a fairly hefty upgrade to the current 8
Then I tell myself well, there’s Google Suite. Google has a notes app, google has a photos app, etc. those things all sync up on devices as well. There really is no excuse for me to not be fully satisfied with my Note yet here I am.
Battery life was perfection. My favorite thing on that Note is being able to split screen things and also watching my favorite movies in picture in picture. If I could do that on my iPhone 8 Plus it would be curtains for the Note. That’s the only thing keeping me from staying in IOS. Those two features. Or even one of those features.
Wow, that's truly unfortunate. My battery life on my Note8 has been stellar. No complaints in that department at all.I'm still itching. Lol. I had every intention of swapping my note 8 back out for the iPhone when I get home to the states in a couple of days but I'm straddling the fence so hard my butt aches. The thing is that this phone is great. I love everything about it. All except this damn battery life. I've been using the phone heavily this last week with a lot of GPS and streaming audio but the phone just seems to pee battery life like it's got a leak.
I keep telling myself to go back to my iPhone as everything will be much easier. I knew my old iPhone had great battery life that would have not been as quick to drain as this. But it's just so damn beautiful.
I really don't want to go through the process of doing a hard reset and restore. I don't have the time and patience. But I've been through the famed Necromancer steps and they made no difference and I've turned off background activity for almost every app. Nothing really jumps out as guzzling power on the settings. Perhaps it's Android Wear.. even though I've restricted that app's settings as well. Hmmmm
I know. It's such a gorgeous phone. Makes it so tough to choose. But I start thinking about things like what it's gonna be like after Oreo. Is it gonna be a laggy mess and shotty battery life and missing features like my last Note. Ugh. I am not willing to do a factory reset either. Way too much to get back on. But my battery life at the moment is amazing.I'm still itching. Lol. My battery life is pretty good at this time. I use the heck out of this phone. Have a Bluetooth keyboard connected while at work for parts of the day, usually have location on, always have data on, sometimes Wi-Fi, auto sync usually on, and so on.I know. It's such a gorgeous phone. Makes it so tough to choose. But I start thinking about things like what it's gonna be like after Oreo. Updates has been the achilles heel for Apple in the past year. Samsung, knock on wood, seems to be doing well on the software side this year.I know. It's such a gorgeous phone. That's what I like to hear.Yes. I hear some Note 8 users that have been able to get their hands on Oreo say it’s buttery smooth
