Anyone getting the Moto Z Force instead of the Z?

What didn't you like?
The issue I have is that its plastic and scratches easily. I know I can add a screen protector but I hate them and haven't used one since the Droid X. Gorilla glass has improved so much since then I never found the need for a protector and I've never shattered a screen.

I found the DT2 screen somewhat dim and the nit score reflected that. I didn't have one, just looked at it at a Verizon store a few times.

When I switched from Blackberry to Android My first phone was a droid. Since I have had the turbo and the Moto x pure edition. Blue tooth stopped working on the Pure edition and Moto kept saying its an Android problem not theirs. So I bought the S7Edge and I hate the thing. It is only a few months old but as soon as the Force comes out the S7 goes up for sale.

I'm definitely going to check it out when it hits stores. I told myself I wouldn't, but my 6p Bluetooth issues are driving me away. Hopefully they'll have a trade in deal and I'll give them my moto X

I swapped my S7 edge today for the Z. I was going to get the Z Force but after playing with both at the store I opted for the Z as I really liked the slim factor. I did also buy the Wireless Charging case as well so when I need extra battery I have it. So far I am really enjoying the phone. I'm glad I made the switch.

What didn't you like about S7E? I am considering one of these two phones.

Why did you swap S7E for the Z Force? What do you like better about it over the Samsung?

Part of it is because I swap phones constantly. I really wanted the Z when it was announced. I always liked Motorola designs and builds.

The S7 edge is fantastic. I had no issues other than a few lags here and there but a reboot always refreshed things.

As for reasons why I switched for me are the Mods (I really like the idea and think there unique). The build as previously stated. The near stock Android experience. And the Active display and features it has.

As for the S7 edge. I liked the Samsung pay and used it all the time. The Camera is better for sure although I hope to see the Camera mod soon. I never really used the edge features however.

Both devices are great. And great for different reasons. And your reason may differ from mine.

I obviously just got the device yesterday so the jury is still out. But so far I am really enjoying the device.

I was on the fence for a while about which to get, and ended up getting the Droid Z. I knew I wanted to keep the battery mod on all the time and the Z Force was too heavy (for my taste) to do that. Absolutely love the phone with the battery mod. Also picked up the bumper case and it fits perfectly on the Z.

heck yeah i'd get the z force what's there not to like? unshatterable screen, better camera, better battery

Yeah, I'd thought about the Z+battery mod vs Z Force, and you end up spending about the same money, and getting about the same battery life, so the more compact Z Force (without battery mod) plus better camera and shatterproof screen won. Plus I have the option of using a battery mod on the Force if I'm ever going to use it a LOT without being able to plug in. Like when I travel during the holidays.

This. My thoughts exactly.

I handled both at Verizon and then at best buy. I kept reaching for the Force. The regular Z just was too thin for my liking. It would have been a great phone as well but I tend to lean towards the top end specs anyway. Plus the Force really isn't that thick relatively speaking when you just have a regular case back mod on. The battery does give it some weight but the thickness I can deal with. I did keep one small phone for my second line which I sold my iPhone SE and opted to try the 5 inch Sony Experia XA. It's a pretty good phone actually. Plus I was able to get at $200 from best buy new unlocked instead of $250 so I jumped in it.

Back to the Force. 95 percent of the time, I keep my Tumi Battery on it. I Never run out of battery life. Heck the only reason I charge it is to charge the Tumi back up. My phone hasn't seen under 60 percent since I bought it.

I looked at both the Z and Z force this weekend at Verizon. I honestly could hardly see any difference between the two screens side by side. At least in the in store lighting. I tried 50% and max brightness. It was nothing like comparing the dimmer shatterproof droid turbo 2 screen to an OG droid turbo

Also people said bezel is bigger (screen/bezel ratio) on force. If it is, it didn't look significant at all
