Anyone going to trade their Android phone for iPhone 6?

Yep... And I'm sure you'll get some killer celebrity endorsements about the secure nature of the Apple ecosystem... Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande... All would love to tell the world how their most precious data is safe with Apple.

Well it looks like the developers don't care about Android enough to make decent, optimised apps.

If by "developers" you mean "only facebook", then I agree.

I can't think of any other apps I have installed that run poorly except for facebook.

1) well something gave me a virus which means that Android is not very secure.

2) Good for you.

Your complaints seem to be specifically about Samsung and Facebook. So far you havn't cited any issues that are specific to Android.

It would be like me buying an iPhone 3g and complaining that iOS is slow.

Well I don't care how much they charge so long as they make quality products....

Not having the capabilities that Android has had for years makes it seem like a low quality product to me. Charging premium prices for a product that does less is adding insult to injury.

If you don't care about what iOS can't do, and don't care about the cost, I agree the iPhone is a better choice for you. Most people who buy smartphones seem to care about one of those two things (or both) though.

Uh huh.

Android owns 85% global smartphone market share, claims new report

Android is rocking the global smartphone market, owning 85 percent of marketshare, according to new Strategy Analytic research, which reports worldwide smartphone shipments hit 295 million units in the second quarter of 2014.

"Like the PC market, Android is on the verge of turning smartphone platforms into a one-horse race. Its low-cost services and user-friendly software remain wildly attractive to hardware makers, operators and consumers worldwide," said Neil Mawston, executive director at Strategy Analytics, in a release on the study. "Rival OS vendors are going to have to do something revolutionary to overturn Android's huge lead in smartphone shipments."

I remember Apple people claiming Android would never even catch up to iOS marketshare. Then they claimed the same thing about tablets. Now Apple's goal seems to be to simply prevent themselves from falling into irrelevancy like Blackberry.

I am all for debating Operating Systems, but calling members trolls, or baiting, and insulting members isn't permitted. Let's keep the discussion civil please. Inflammatory/trolling post will be handled in a different manner going forward. Carry on.

Well I don't take horny pics, so I have nothing to worry about.😜

Well Android is their operating system so it would be hard to imagine them having no part to play with my troubles.

I bet even the iPhone 3g can perform better than the S5 tbh. Honestly, how can my 2 year old iPhone 5 perform better than my 6 month old S5? Isn't this is meant to be one of the best flagships you can buy?! Android is a joke.

The only thing Android can more IOS is customisation. Well I just want a phone that works, not spending endless hours in my basement making pointless tweaks.

Then stick with it and be happy with your eyephone X.

Whats the point of going to a different OS forum and trying to stir the pot ? I wouldn't go to an ios forum and tell them why Android, Blackberry and even WP are better choices in my mind.

as for the question: I wouldn't even trade my S 3 for an eyephone 6

Do you use weighted lures... or maybe a deep or middle diving rig?

Do you have any examples?

It's not.

The iPhone 5 has a slower CPU, a much worse display, has no expandable memory, is not waterproof, has worse battery life, and has a crappier camera.

iOS can't do half the stuff Android can...if Android is a joke, what does that make iOS?

The only thing Android can more IOS is customisation.
...and 3rd party app integration.
...and sideloading without having to jailbreak.
...and remote app install
...and a real file system
...and desktop widgets

A 2005 flip phone works great, and is cheap, and requires no tweaking. Go get one of those and be happy.

I have no idea why you ever thought buying a GS5 was a good idea if you really like iOS so much. What made you want to switch?

I will say my Samsung isn't tweaked.. I just have the home screen and widgets setup how I'd like.. Just like an iPhone user would setup their home screen.. And it just works :).

Whilst I generally agree apple make high end quality products they are far from immune to quality control/design flaws. Ever heard of 'scuffgate'? It plagued the iPhone 5 onwards and I like many millions of others I suffered it. You could easily argue whether this should have happened on such an expensive device.

I switched to Android with the release of the S4. I have been quite please with the S4. I am waiting for the iPhone 6 event but the only reason why I can see myself going back to the iPhone is because of continuity/hand off features coming.

At the same time, I am watching the Note 4 live stream right now and I think that is a great phone.
The Note Edge is interesting, but it doesn't call me.
In my head I am really waiting to see what the next gen nexus phones are coming out with but I don't know if I can wait that long. This is the longest I have had the same phone and it is making me itchy.

Yes I want to try iPhone 6 because of following reasons:

1. I didn't use iPhone earlier , so want to try iPhone.
2. I heard iPhone 6 will have big screen, as i am big fan of big screen , so want to try.
3. My S2 is now 2 years old, so want to change

I've been going back and forth between Android and iPhone yet I always find myself back at Android.

I tend to get Apple's new phones out of curiosity, but when time goes by, I get bored with iPhones. The iPhone is a boring phone in my opinion and I think that the iPhone 6 will most likely be the same. Sure there will be a couple of new features, but these are features that we have been getting with Android phones for a pretty long time! At the end of the day, the "feel" will just be dull and bland.

But yeah, I might get the iPhone 6 out of curiosity, but I won't be surprised if I come running back to Android. Probably towards the HTC M9 if it's release date for early next year would is true. :D
