Anyone have any suggestions how I can get my hands on an Evo?

Sweet, thank you! I'm still sitting here with just my phone case...nothing to put in it. I think I'm starting to twitch. Are you enjoying it?
Oh yeah. The HTC Sense weather thing was annoying me though as I was trying to update it to show just my home city and not follow me. 
Got that fixed though. I'm still getting used to the differences between my old Moment and this new phone.

I have another hour and a half before I can leave. BOOOO!

I didn't have many problems with AT&T until antennagate was released. Now its constant dropping of calls and loss of data. I shouldn't have to see my screen go from 3G to EDGE and then nothing. And I've been with them since 2001. You would think with the cash cow they have, service would be improved rather quickly. I guess its hard for them to let the money go from their pocket. At least I'm in a 4G area.
I see you are in Michigan. I have a friend who lives outside of Detroit (can't remember the name of the city) and he was telling me that he couldn't even consider Sprint.
UPS hasn't updated my status since Friday - I hope that means it happened so fast they didn't have time to update the site and I'll have a box on my doorstep tonight, but really I'm not that naive. :-(

My wife got to playing with my new phone and it reminded her so much of our old iPhones. She recently upgraded her line (1 week ago) to a Lotus Elite and started saying (really after I got my new phone) how the new phone doesn't do what all she wants. So we ended up taking her phone back and once she had it returned and her upgrade date reset she had me call Art to order her an Evo.

Awesome! My phone just shipped and is now in Louisville, KT! Not too far from Chicago, considering it's next day air. Looks like I'll get it sometime tomorrow if all goes well! I'm stoked! (Mind the pun.

)I was waiting since launch day for mine. Calling the stores will get you nowhere cuz even if they have a few they'll say no over the phone so you gottA just stop in. Make friends with an employee at the stores that way they'll keep you in mind. I was tired of waiting so I offered the radioshack employee that I had been in contact with $50 if he got me one that day and sure enough my phone rang an hour later. He insisted he didnt want the cash but I figured he held up his end of the deal and I should do the same plus I'm sure hell remember that $50 next time I want an in demand device. Also if your convinced you can't find one locally just order from amazon that way you at least have one coming rather than not. Best of luck
Same here! And to think I only ordered it yesterday morning! I knew it'd get it pretty quick, but I never though it'd be THIS fast!
How are you guys getting next day delivery? Ordering through Art the only option I had was UPS Ground....
Any phones I've ordered from Sprint.com are shipped next day UPS. Must be they know how anxious we are in getting our new toys..lol.

I didn't even get a shipping notice, I ordered my 2nd EVO on around 2:00 PM this last Monday and it was at my house by 11:30 AM yesterday. WOW!
