I've had a fair amount of problems with LPP on my Nexus. The app drawer sometimes locks up and the google search window I put on the main screen will sometimes jump around. Its enough that its made me go back to the stock launcher. Anyone else having problems?

I am happy to see all the "cool" devs are already getting code going for the nexus. Unlocked loader on a maga network equals major fun to come. Give it a few days, the code has been out for a bit.:-$

Launcherpro is essentially dead. It was updated once in about a year and hasn't been updated since May. Meanwhile the developer has been promising a complete rewrite of the app for about 2 years, which is allegedly still in progress. Don't waste your time with the app. I regret purchasing the plus version.

Try ADW or another launcher that has been updated for ICS.

LPP was great on my Fascinate. Not so much on my Nexus

I was a huge LPP fan. When I got my GN I decided to see if I could live with out it. We'll I could, mostly. I miss the ability to have more than 5 home screens. I also miss the launch bar that I could cycle through 3 times. However with Android Pro Widgets and two folders on the home screen I have managed to overcome almost all of the limitations of the stock launcher in ICS.

Ok, I've moved on to Go LauncherEX. its free and seems to have at least all of the functions of LPP. I've uninstalled LPP from my phone. Only have Go and Stock on it now.

I've used go launcher ex on several phones and never had an issue. Very customizable.

code was released not to long ago, let him get caught up.

If it's anything like his other updates, I wouldn't expect him to "catch up" until about 2014. Best bet is to move on to another launcher, like the OP has. LPP isn't worth the money or effort to install, it's an unsupported app left to die.

...
Got the GN back; just wanted to say that ADW launcher works like a champ.
Of course go into developer settings and disable animations if you want to speed your phone up period.
But ADW launcher allows you to remove the google search bar with rooting the phone.
Play with the settings and you will see how fast this thing really is.
I would reccomend fold manager or organizer because it will not use the ics method to let you create folders.
U can create folders with it by the useual method but I like a little charachter with mine.....
I would like to change my statement ADW is not laggy

Yeah, I had problems with ADW EX scrolling message widgets. LPP simply was unusable. The only reliable alternative I can see is Nova which is designed for the Nexus and works very well. I don't care for Go as it's always been a bit laggy for me.

What/where is Nova? I can't find anything about.

No, it's not. I'm not rooted. DL the APK and install. Voila! There is a separate zip file for rooters.

If you're rooted you get the widget tile system in your app/widget drawer. If not you get the old style list. Which, IMO, is actually better. I hate scrolling through pages and pages of widget tiles. It's more time consuming than the old style list. Same thing in Honeycomb.....hate it.
