Anyone here running latest November security patch?

I'm looking to buy this phone but since I've heard about all the Marshmallow update problems I'm really not sure anymore. I know that there have been 2 updates since and I was hoping someone could let me know if they have solved all the overheating, battery draining, performance etc. issues.

Yes I have upgraded to Android 6.0.1_0031 and Security MDF v2.0 rel 7, VPN v1.4 rel 6.1, ASKS v1.1_161007.
Since then my Galaxy S7 is running hot, and battery life halved!
Any sugestions to get more life out of battery?

Go into your battery status menu and see what is the top item in the list, it should show most usage at the top. That will tell you what app is drawing your battery down. Also, if you tap on the graph you should see an indication of your signal strength.
