Anyone not using a case with their Pixel 2?

Yeah, both pixels are this way. I have a smaller one and went case-less for almost 2 months while deciding then waiting on my case to arrive. I grew to like the naked metal feel of a bare pixel, was kinda nice. However, I was paranoid of the camera lens always rubbing against surfaces every time I set it down. Plus it rocks/wobbles.

yeah .. the rocking and wobbling alone would drive me nuts. Guess I'll be leaving the case on.

I'm amazed at the people I see carrying IPhones and other expensive phones with about half the phone in their hip pocket and the rest screaming, "Take me." A friend as a nice phone--well, it was--with a cracked screen. It still works. Just looks horrible.

I use a holster that I carry with the phone inside my pocket.

For the record, I don't carry my laptop around without a case, either.

Spigen tough armour, though I often have it out of the case when I'm at home.

switching between a LifeProof and tech 21. yes I have insurance but still like to keep the phone safe from damage

I have a few cases but also purchased a leather sleeve for days when I feel like going naked with my panda p2xl. as long as I'm careful and keep it in the sleeve when not in use I think it'll be fine..

Bellroy leather.....sorry half leather half plastic case just arrived. Not impressed (for the price) so I may go caseless again. Probably should have just ordered one of the google fabric ones they look nice

Did you wind up sending it back? I've been looking at this case in navy but am undecided. Noreve also makes a nice leather case as well

and shortly after last posting I dropped it face first on the pavement!

The Spigen is worth twice what I paid for it...! 🤪

Sent my bellroy back also as it was too cheap quality for the.money IMO. I decided Noreve had a better product and went with a pantine looking leather shell which is enough coverage for me. Love the case, real leather all the way and real pricey to. Never thought I'd spend so much on a case but glad I did. Happy with it.

I have a google live photo case with my cat on it. Case was with me before my phone even shipped. Since my phone was worth £750 I felt £40 on a proper case was worth it. Love me case and my phone is still in pristine condition. Don't use a screen protector though. I hate the way they bubble and feel.

Naked and loving it. I don't understand all the people that think it is too slippery... Maybe I have Spiderman hands but the phone started in my hands nicely. Same with the Note 8 and S8+ before it.

Do you have the Panda or Black?
Accidents happen

Panda.... And yes they do happen but I was referring to everyone that complains about how slippery those phones are.

Went naked for the first couple of months or so and loved the clean feel of it. Didn't think it was to slippery to be an issue and I never dropped it. I would cringe every time I set it down tho as that camera bump , always on the bump. Bugged me. I ended up using one of my lens cleaner cloths under it. I'da stayed naked if not for that dang hump. I wish they'd recess those..

I live in a world with rugs but not with carpeting. I would no more use an expensive phone naked than I would drive my car with no bumpers. When I see young women with their expensive iPhone tucked, barely, in the hip pocket on the jeans my first thought is to wonder who bought it for them. It's just asking for a dip to take the phone. I'm really careful handling knives but I still drop one occasionally. Accidents happen. That's why they're called accidents.

I have a Spigen Neo Hybrid on the back of my Pixel 2.

Then I have an Enclased Holster that I use to clip my phone to my pocket or, sometimes, on my belt. I prefer the pocket.

The Spigen/Encased combination is great for me and I waiting to learn the durability of the spring clips.

Riggghtt....young women in jeans...first thought...

But seriously, I realize accidents happen and do try to be careful without being obsessive (I hope). I haven't had a case on my Pixel 2 since the day I got it. I do use a sleeve so I get some scratch/bump protection and while being able to enjoy the feel of a caseless phone.

I have a minimalist case on my Pixel but not for damage resistance; I have a USB-C receiver plugged in and the small, thin coil needs to be hidden by a case. Gives me wireless charging without bulk. I have a thin, black Totallee case ready for the same treatment for my Pixel 2 which comes this week,
