Anyone planning on using Gestures?

Or already using Gestures? Do you like them if so? I'll give it a shot tomorrow but I can't see myself using them.
I will admit though, that I also never thought keyboards on screens would catch on, so who knows. :D

I'm giving them a try for a week to see how it goes. I've already accidentally archived several text threads trying to swipe back.

I gave gestures a try yesterday for a bit after updating to 10 but decided I'm using three button for as long as Google will let me. Just easier/faster imo.

I tried it for a few mknutes yesterday, didnt like it so went back to 3 button. just have to retrain myself and gwt rid of the muscle memory. I will give it a go again this weekend

As I've been playing with it today I kind of like that I can go back from either side.

The recent apps gesture is clunky though. Up for the app drawer and down and hold for recent might have been better.

I tried it yesterday and I really didn't like it. I will be sticking to 2-button navigation for the time being.

A couple days in and I like the gestures. I think it's way more fluid than the 2 button, at least for calling up the app drawer. Before updating to 10 I was using Nova but I'm giving the stock launcher a try. Only thing I think it's missing is a swipe down gesture for pulling the notification bar down. I know there's the fps gesture but I don't really know who in the world naturally has their fingers anywhere near the sensor when they're using their phone. Lol.

All my gestures are on. They been on while in the beta testing as well. I'm sticking with them

I won't be using gestures, too many mistakes slowing down my phone usage. Besides I use 2 hands to keep from dropping expensive phones, I'm in no hurry, and I like that buttons always do exactly what I expect them to do. Plus I use a stylus to make working with my phone screen much more accurate lol.

I'm going to try them for a week and see how it goes. I actually like the swipe up to go home, but I still cannot get used to swiping from the left or right side of the screen to go back. I like a back button.

I think the gestures is good for ppl who use the app drawer. But I hate going into that jungle. I just type in a letter and tap that app if it's not already on my homescreen. I am giving gestures and the boring Pixel Launcher a week to prove to me that it's the former is actually preferable and the latter inspired. But so far, it looks like I'll be heading back to Nova. We'll see.

I've been using gestures since 9, but I can't see any setting in gestures in the 2 (non XL) to use anything new. (Swiping up diagonally from the lower left corner does go "back", but only to the launcher. Then again, I'm running Nova, and maybe gestures only works in the Pixel launcher?)

I'll give them a try. Haven't used my phone too much since the update so I'll give it a go tonight and/or tomorrow and see how it goes!

I usually use Nova. You're correct. Gestures does not yet work on other launchers. Only pixel.

I am using Nova and gesture is working for me.
It's a little learning curve. You need to practice

Whaaaa???? How long have you been using gesture w Nova? Can you screenshot your homescreen? If this is true, blessed_glitch. Even Google says that gesture navigation will not work w 3rd party Launchers yet.

Starting using gestures yesterday along with my wife and we are in... didn't take long to get the hang of it

Well, I hate gestures. I turned them on so I could walk my mom through some of the steps of setting up her new Pixel 3A. I feel like I am swiping the wrong way constantly. Pages don't do what I want them to do and it's really hard to switch between a game I play and everything else. And FB messages chat heads are hard to move without moving everything on the screen. Plus I miss the back button.

On the one hand I feel like I should just get used to it bc they might not include the option to turn it off in the future, on the other, I want to go back to 3 button for ease of use.

I used gestures for a full week. I liked them just fine. Then I returned to Nova bc I just don't like Pixels Launcher. I thought I would miss the gestures but to my surprise, I found the 2-button nav works better for me. It just seemed more intuitive. But I get why others like the gestures. The bottom-swipe right left to switch to another app *is* nice. Had I remembered to use it more, I think would have missed that. And one thing I do miss is swiping in from the side to go back. I know a lot of ppl didn't like that and I get it. But I really got used to that.

Oh, and being a minimalist in terms of my UI, I REALLY appreciated the lack of markers below. Not a fan of the pill button, but I really don't like the unhelpful arrow to the Left. It's annoying to me. Like a piece of sawdust on your screen you can't wipe off. (Incidentally, I feel even more disgust for the up arrow above Pixel Launcher's dock.)

All in all, I prefer the 2-button, but I thought the gestures were pretty cool and I might give it another try if it one day works on Nova.
