I believe the double data promo is good until Jan. 15th. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure that is the date for the extended exchange window expiring. The double-data deal is worded in Verizon absolutes: "till the end of the holidays."

Haha, we're past the point of analyzing Verizon's own past practices and schedules for phone launches.

We're now desperate enough to feed our hopes by analyzing and comparing prior cancellations of previously-rumored launch dates from unofficial sources!

If 12/15 doesn't happen, by this time next week we'll be pinning our dreams on augurs' readings from chicken entrails.

I'm not putting any stock in the 15th. I want to believe it will happen. I haven't believed any of the dates besides the 9th when a store confirmed shipment to them and a date. I think I blew most if not all the stock I had on that date. Now I'm just kind of, "meh well see", type of attitude. I assure you though, if it happens I will try my hardest to get one, or have on shipping to me on that day!

22nd. Then 29th. The 29th/30th would be their drop-dead date, otherwise they have officially lied about the release. I'm reluctantly gaining optimism about the 15th though.

Would be really nice to have a nice new phone to distract me from boring people at holiday parties...

12/31 last possible day to get it out the door "later this year" as Verizon's original press release stated. Knowing how verizon rolls I wouldn't doubt I that's the day or if they disregard their original statement altogether and launch in Q1 2012. Hoping for Thursday though.
