Anyone receive a Incredible 2 from assurion replacement(after 6/1/11)

No, the reason that insurance and deductibles are going up is that phones are getting more expensive. There's a big difference between an old BB, flip phone, Razr where you had around a $50 deductible. Let's also not forget Asurions horrid service where they typically send you two crappy refurbs before they get it right and send you a phone that actually works.

A friend of mine's incredible went swimming and didn't make it out alive. He did an insurance claim through assurion Tuesday and got the replacement yesterday. He received the original incredible. Ur lucky got the incredible 2. He was happy just to have a phone again.

I was joking by the way about making up a problem to get a new phone. Waiting on the bionic has me going crazy...

HTC to Moto? I don't know if I could make the jump. Unless the rumored Nexus LTE is on VZW and not made my HTC, then I would consider leaving HTC

So anyone else get the incredible 2 for a dinc replacement? Interested to see if this was a fluke or what they are actually doing now.

The speaker on my DInc blew. I called VZW on Sunday. They shipped me a replacement. I just got home and its an original DInc. Not the DInc2. It was wishful thinking but I wasn't expecting a DInc2.

I was wondering if I add my info on Asurions online claim to see what device they would give me, would I be able to not go through with the claim? I want to see what device options are available for my number before I order the phone, not actually pay the claim yet. Thanks

Yeah you can.. you don't pay till the end, but you do have to give claim info 1st like what happened to your phone, so don't just fudge that cause it would look bad if you changed your reason later. It actually makes you select the phone option though it only showed dinc2 for me :-) BTW just talked to them 2night concerning a issue and they only have brand new dinc2's not refurbs (but I'm not saying that's currently what they're replacing dinc1's with)

BTW pretty sure Verizon warranty replacements are different than assurion replacements ...

Thanks alot, I see a new phone in my future!

Yeah, even with the $99 deduct that Asurion now charges, still better deal than the Geek Squad program from Best Buy. I bought my wife the Samsung Fascinate thru Best Buy and got her the Geek Squad Black Tie deal.... more expensive than VZW at $9.99 a month but they don't charge any deduct and allow unlimited claims. Sounds good, eh?

Well, the battery went bad on her Fascinate so I trot down to BB and tell them I need a battery. Guess what? They don't carry extra batteries. So they call the geek squad and they say they are sending new battery. Be a few days... well, 5 weeks and MANY phone calls later I finally get the battery. Not even an oem battery but a freakin el cheapo aftermarket battery!

Sorry to go off topic.... LOL

BB's Black tie program is a Joke. I can't tell you how many horror stories I've heard about their "extended warranty" service.

Always go with the OEM extended warranty or the carrier insurance.

Yup, lesson learned. I do Asurion via VZW on my phones normally. Thought I'd try something new. Never again....

just ordered a replacement via phoneclaim.com. according to the replacement details, i should be gettin a Dinc2 hopefully. we'll see what happens when it arrives.

Re: Anyone receive a Incredible 2 from assurion replacement(after

Verizon wont replace my htc incredible and it is broken so i am thinking about doing the assurion replacement thing sense i can get an incredible 2. I was wondering what the price is for a claim? Also will it effect my upgrade that i have in a few months? Please answer!!!

Re: Anyone receive a Incredible 2 from assurion replacement(after

If you already have the phone insured thru Asurion, the deductible you will have to pay is $99. No, it will not change anything with your upgrade status or timing.
