I wonder if the 1X trick only works in 4G areas????

I am in a 4G area; the 1X trick worked for me for MR1 but has not worked for MR2.

still haven't received the update. I haven't had but maybe one reboot every other day lately so i'm not rushing.

When i try to check updates the gray status box disappears and never finishes. ohh well.

I have not gotten the update yet, even using the 1x trick. I wonder if there are different hardware revisions of the Tbolt and only certain revisions are getting the update. If I go to About Phone - Hardware Information, my Hardware Version is 0002. I wonder if this has something to do with some people getting the update and some people not. Or it could be completely random.

I am hardware version 0002 too. Not really having restart problems but still have not got the update usually just get the disappearing screen.

I've 2 TB's..same hardware (0002) and was having same problem (update disappears) until yesterday. I swapped my wife's SIM card into my TB (and viceversa) and both phones latched onto 1X (Although we are in 4G coverage) and update kicked off at 1st attempt...Hope this helps...

I just got off the phone Verizon tech support. For a. Cable issue. But I did ask about the thunderbolt ota he said by end of Sunday every one should have it and if you reject it some point next week it will be forced on your phone. So enjoy hotspot while it last.

I'm assuming he means by this Sunday of coarse. That's usually how long it takes for a OTA push is about 1 week or so. That sounds about right.

Ok I'm a noob...

I downloaded an update for the first time last night. As far as I can tell the only difference is the 3G graphic and it popped up saying there is a data use widget. I also never used mobile hotspot. How can I tell if I have the newest update lol?
