Anyone Still using a Pebble?

me. had steel for over a year then upgraded to time steel. been running that over a year. the pebbles are still the best smart watches for ppl that want battery life and good balance of customization and simplicity

hi I'm still wearing a pebble. it's a pebble time to be exact and I love it I find it weird how people are spending over $400 for an Apple watch when I can do everything with my Pebble and the battery as you guys know can last up to 7. I'm actually considering buying a pebble 2 and giving this one to my wife, I just don't know if Pebble will continue to work after 2017.

I still use my pebble time steel as well. I love the standard bands... I interchange the watch bands during football season. The vibration feature started to get really loud for some reason. I changed the mode to "jackhammer" and its not annoying anymore. I wish there was continued development on this watch. My only problem with it is that its hard to read small print in dim light even with the backlight. I'm sure if you are in your 20's still, its not a problem... lol..

Same here. What happens if I reset my device and can't set up the device? That rebble? Project seems to have died.

I Think, pebblers cant get rid of their love to Pebble so easily. Even to update my Pebble 2 HR and Pebble Time I have updated it with Rebbble and have ordered strapSWAP on indiegogo to receive notification from my second mobile. And hope strapSWAP will rock my outfashioned Pebble with its smart look. Refer here http://igg.me/at/strapswap.Indiegogo_Strapswap_Main.pngIndiegogo_Strapswap_Main.png

I'm still using Pebble OG and Pebble Time however I'm searching for a new watch now . The thing is I'm trying to use my Pebble as a reference to every optional watch I see...
I still love my Pebble and probably will continue loving it even after I move on to a new watch

Is it worth buying a decent used pebble for work in 2019? There seems to be some decent ones on eBay form 2017.

Update. Have after doing some research have bought a pebble classic for £20 complete. I'll give it a go if doesn't work out for me I ain't really lost anything.

I still have my used pebble time.
Had a pebble steel and lost it. With rebble, pebble still better then wear os imho.

So do I need to download both the rebble app / apk or what ever it is, as well as the pebble app? I notice the pebble app has the word 'new' in its description but its dated May 2018. Both are available on the google play store.

Sorry for all the questions but Im very, very new to smart watches etc, and phones are still just a thing for calls and messages.

No worries.
We have all been there asking questions, etc.
You will have to download the new pebble app, which was released right before they closed shop.
Then afterwards, go to rebble's website and it will tell you what to do.
rebble.io.

As detailed in our last blog post, existing Pebble users had the option to retain their Pebble account data by linking their Rebble accounts before the Pebble service End of Life on June 30th. Even if you missed out on the chance to link accounts, or are a new user (welcome!), the process for transitioning to RWS is the same:

log into (or create) your Rebble account at https://auth.rebble.io/ on your mobile device (it should already have the official Pebble app installed)
(optionally) subscribe to get weather and dictation services (and even better: support the project!) via your account page
visit https://boot.rebble.io/ from your mobile device to switch the Pebble app to Rebble Web Services!!! :rocket:

Any questions just ask.
I just bought a new band for mine, plus with a gadget wrap screen and bezel protector, it's great!

Thanks guys. Instructions saved and I await my new (to me) pebble. I'll let you know how I get on.

It arrived, I read the scant instructions, downloaded the pebble app and followed the instructions for rebble. No issues. What a great little piece of tech. Just what I needed. It buzzes when I get a call, text or email and I can send a canned reply. I've put a pedometer, battery and music app onto it again with no trouble. So far worth the £20 inc delivery. I done some reading and even when I get out of its Bluetooth range it'll down load when I'm back in range. Why cant other tech be this easy to use and set up?

Well the classic has done its job of convincing me that there are smart watches that are easy to use. So much so I've tracked down a pebble steel. Looks less like a toy on my thick manly wrist. So enjoying this 'older' technology. BTW the rebble app works with no issues on my Moto g6plus plus.
