Anyone switch their Note 4 for a N6 and are happy they did??

Thanks for the post regarding reception.
The reception is my biggest want.
Then battery life.
Then user experience.
Then music.
Without going on, taking good pictures is least on my list.

Looks like you'll be in good shape with either the n6 or note 4. If you throw out the camera then its really down to stock android vs touchwiz + spen user experience.

I just did it today. Still much too early to tell if I'm glad that I did but I will say on each device I've used the Google Now Launcher has been installed and Google Apps were used to replace as many on-board apps as possible. Being a Verizon customer, Nexus hasn't been an option since the G'Nex so I'm a happy camper right now.

I used multi screen mode sometimes, but one handed mode never. I have an easy time handling these devices

Nexus 6 has reception bug at least on T-Mobile. It been known for a while now. Phone can loose full connection or just data for no reason and needs to be either rebooted or airplane mode on/off

Agree mostly but would add that having no physical home button is really slick on the Nexus too....made the switch myself about a few weeks ago and loving it. Cost of phone was drastically less that Note 4 too. Even Google and Motorola are now selling for $150 off in US. That sealed the deal for me and helped ease the missed QHD screen on Note.

I don't really see the difference in screen quality. I love the screen on the Nexus 6. And I too am a fan of no home button or capacitive buttons. It makes the whole experience cleaner. Just love this phone.

I really enjoy the Nexus 6 screen. I was trying it along with the Note 4 and had them side by side. I chose the N6 as it had more features that met my needs.

When you play a video side by side the Note 4 make the Nexus 6 look like old technology. There is absolutely no comparison. But for every day use and if you don't have a Note 4 next to it, the Nexus 6 screen is really enjoyable to use. The N6 screen is very good and the Note 4 screen is unbelievably great is the way I would summarize. You really see the difference in videos.

Is it the brightness? Colors? Clarity?

+1 to the Note 4 users who switched...

Wife had an upgrade (and bit the bullet and lost the unlimited data) on Verizon. For anyone thinking about it, go to Costco. They have the Verizon Nexus 6 for free with 2 year agreement (upgrade or new contract) and it comes with a nice case, car dock and charger, and motorola bluetooth headphones. Even if you wanted to cancel the line the ETF is $350 so you still save money...

Nexus 6 is all around better for me than the note 4. But it's all in the user. The amount of freedom over the note is amazing too...

It's difficult to explain. I can see the texture of everything so much more clearly such that it feels more lifelike. By comparison is make the N6 look a little hazy and washed out. I never feel this way when using the the N6 alone, I'm just talking about comparing side by side. I guess depth, sharpness, contrast, and clarity would be the attributes. Again not in icons, photos or text, mainly videos show the differences. For me that wasn't enough and I chose the N6, but the Note 4 definitely is at the top of the heap for all around performance.

I haven't really looked at the two side by side. I have a Note 4 in a box that I'm not using. I need to look to see for myself.

It would be interesting to hear what you think. To me it is obvious, but I would love to hear another opinion.

I just did a comparison and it was interesting. First thing I noticed was that the Note 4 seemed to have a cooler display which made looking at a white page clearer compared to the warm almost beige color of the Nexus 6. But then I went into the settings and changed the adaptive display of the Note 4 to basic, and the two screens looked identical. So I think it has more to do with the software settings than the actual screen technology.

I never thought to set the screen to basic on the Note 4. That was a really interesting way to compare. I always did adaptive. Did you compare them watching the same video on each?
