Anyone Switch to iPhone Max??

Exactly and you are also right about Face ID and the Galaxy Watch.

The battery on my Max is markedly better than my Note 9 and does not ever encounter some rouge app draining quickly all of a sudden.

Also, Face ID works at several different angles whereas the Intelligence Scan on my Note has to see my iris’ and lights up the freaking screen to MAX brightness to see them. That’s super annoying at night.

Finally, the Galaxy Watch is prob Samsung’s biggest disgrace EVER. If you Google: Galaxy Watch Step Counter, you’ll see the many threads on Samsung’s one forums where so many people are complaining about how poorly the fitness features (ie step counting; HR and calorie calculation) were made. The worst part is Samsung is not even responding whatsoever.

Yep, and it’s been several weeks since the camera issue and Samsung isn’t fixing it yet.

both companies take time to send out updates , where's apple for phone not charging from off screen? same with Samsung for camera . the other thing is Samsung iris is secured enough to use Samsung pay and other services that require secured passwords. but face I'd works pretty good

Iris is a joke. I always had a hard time getting that to work with glasses on or sunglasses. Wasn’t even worth using.

Faceid isn’t secure at all on Samsung devices. It’s been proven a picture has tricked them. It isn’t anything like apples which scans the face with a 3D image.

I sure hope iris dont work with sunglasses. People who wear glasses had issues on both platforms, and iris works 9/10 times for me . If it was joke I dont think you be able to use it for something as important as a secured payment for Samsung pay . I have the 1+6 face unlock and it wont do anything secured payment because its not that secure. So I guess you have different experience.

How is the display inferior when displaymate rated it the best display on any smartphone???

And who uses a jack now. It’s Bluetooth times. OneNote just axed theirs too.

Stop drinking the note drink. Lol. Honestly I see a lot on the max the note could not do.

I use the headset jack on my Note 9/S9+ when making videos for YouTube. I plug an external mic into the headset jack because it then uses the mic instead of the built in mic and gives the videos a much better quality sounding voice.

Sorry, but Apple released their Apple design in 2012 before Samsung and anyone else with an actual "SmartWatch" design with app store and all. Those other ones weren't technically smart watches.

Again, IRIS is known to not work with glasses, where Apple has no issues with faceID and glasses.

There is a reason why corporations do not trust faceid on Samsung devices for their locks. It just isn't secure. Me and many others on this very site have the same issues. You are a rare person to have it work just fine.

I've actually seen people do that at a conference with iPads. Wasn't aware at that time it could be done that way. Either way, there are workarounds. The headphone jacks are going away, and soon Samsung will eventually get rid of theirs. Just depends when.

Yeah, I enjoyed it while I had it, but when the camera kept locking up, and the battery life started to get real bad especially after that one update, among other issues, I had it and returned it before I couldn't. The Max on the other hand has been problem free. I probably won't buy another Samsung after this again. From the Note 7 issue, to this, they need some QC checking.

They all have their fair share of problems iPhones with the charging issues, wifi and network issues, beauty face you cant turn off for selfie. It happens to all manufacturers. It just newness will wear off and you'll be back like I've said to other people that jumped

I switched. I was done with the issues with the camera and battery life. The max out lasts my note 9 by several hours I am happy with it. I wonder how long it will be before Samsung fixes the camera? Lol

I just wish Samsung would fix the ice maker in my refrigerator.

It's in the 12.1 beta so it's on the way.

Ehh depends on the glasses. I wouldn't say no issues until you research it fully.

Beauty isn't an issue. LOL. And charging and wifi will be fixed in the next update.

Where? Because I've been monitoring the large topic on the samsung community and samsung has yet to even acknowledge the issue.

I have researched it fully. I have used every generation of Note, and almost the s series since they been out. I have been using Iris since it's been released. And I have been around Androids because of that for years. So saying I haven't research it fully is false, when I have owned probably more than you and been in the communities reading about all the issues with it.

Apparently you haven't because there are some sunglass makers that are making glasses to specifically work with face ID. You do realize I was talking about Apple right? Hence me quoting what you said.

Early you said no issue at all as if you meant everyone. If yours is fine that's fine but make sure to say you mean for you.. because for all it isn't true.
