Enjoying the iPhone so far TBH. The few tweaks they have done have made it easier for me. Once I get the watch we can see.
While I do see your point, I think it also depends on how each individual uses their phone. Individual usage patterns will vary and will therefore make battery usage stays vary, as well as each individual device/unit. My fiancé's iPhone SE would do way better than my Honor 8 when both phones were under low battery warnings. His would last WAY longer than mine when under 5%. However, since he is a power user and I'm only a moderate user, he would very often drain his battery to the point of needing to turn on battery saving mode sooner; whereas my Honor 8 would still truck along. And when he used my Honor 8 and taxed the battery, I think it lost juice a little slower than the iPhone SE (until the battery began to show age, of course).
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if one is a power user and is using an iPhone, they still may have an issue with battery life. Same with an Android device. However, with Google and other manufacturers coming out with adaptive batteries, I think it will be difficult for us to differentiate between which platform offers the best battery life.
One of my managers is a power user. He has a case with a back up battery on his iPhone.

Wait, isn't it like illegal or something for an Android moderator to use an iPhone?![]()
Unless aleady heavily vested in the Apple eco system, why would someone go to a more constrained device, with a notch, no sd slot, no 3.5 jack, costs even more, anchored to iTunes for file and media management, inferior display, no pen.... No point in going on really, but having choices is good, none the less.
I don't understand the whole status symbol thing. I couldn't imagine "showing off" my phone. Who would care for what phone I have? Almost anyone can get an iPhone or any other phone for $30-40 a month. How is that all status symbol? If they came out with a $10,000 phone and they were one of a kind and people knew it, that's different.I think most people still buy apple iPhone for status symbol..but I am seeing a change where people are realising apple is same every year and don't really innovate the way they claim... I think lot of android Oems have innovated way more than apple

Yea I've had people say if I can't afford an iPhone I'd get a Samsung and when I tell them that the high end models are vertically the same price they have a confused look on their face lol. I forget how much of a phone noob the average consumer is.I feel it's not really status symbol, but more as a superior product regardless of price. Many iPhone users still have the mindset that Android phones are slow, laggy and buggy, and will not even give a second thought about using them.

LOOOOL not if you're in charge! ?????? Just kidding!
I had my Note 9 for almost 2 weeks... I really did like it, I was getting a day and a half of battery life (before I found the game Hole.io), the phone was nice and smooth...... BUT My girlfriend, mom, dad, main friend group all use iPhones, without iMessage somethings were missing. I had the X before the Note 9 and I liked the X just wanted that bigger screen. Once I seen that the Xs Max was just a tweaked X with the 6.5 screen, I was in. Do I miss my Note, yeah I miss somethings about it, but for everyday life the iPhone just makes sense for me. Also for some reason when I was on instagram some of the post would be cut off, especially if it was a post with a qoute, don't know why, I was chalking that one up to the curved screen.
I believe once the new phone novelty is off many will switch back from xs max to Note 9...iOS is a very boring OS...
