Anyone switching back to iPhone?

I'm waiting on the iPhone 6 to drop first with the 5.5 inch screen before I make any decisions. I miss the simplicity and app store of Apple, along with iMessage and Facetime, but I also love the big screen on the Note 3.

Aren't those just people speculating? I am not going to believe a 5.5 iPhone till they announce it... That is a drastic jump for a company that said their screen was fine the way it is :P.

They said they're making two different screen sizes. a 4.7 inch and a 5.5 inch. But i guess we will have to see it to believe it.

Even if the Iphone 6 does come in a Phablet model I don't know if I go for it. In my case I like switching my phone OS constantly to freshen things up, iOS while incredibly smooth and stable isn't a very refreshing OS to use. I mean sure it works, but it just works it's not fun to use, and it just doesn't seem visually exciting to me.

Plus I figure in the case of the Note 3 you'll still have things Apple will likely never add like removable batteries, or SD Card slots, and perhaps even the stylus.

It's now almost May. I've had my phone since October. I told my husband he can stick with the iPhone. I'll be getting a note 4. I guess after all these months, I've decided to stick with the Note.

This is my 3rd go around with the Note 3. Hopefully, I won't get the itch again. But it looks like I will be keeping my Note 3 until the new Note 4 comes out in the fall.

Sent from the Galaxy Note 3...yeah, its spectacular.

If a bigger iPhone comes out this year I'll be getting it over the note 4 the note 3 is my first Android device I do love it and will be keeping it but miss the camera quality, imessage & facetime and a few other features from ios.

Re: Anyone switching back to Iphone?

Apple app store may have more apps then google play. But for me, I don't care. Those good apps will always come to google play because they are good and the companies who made them know they are going to sell well in google play as well. So see it this way, goolge play has better apps because there is less crap apps because craps don't get imported to android at all. Just leave the craps in apple app store I say.

I used to be all about the iPhone but over the years it just got stale. Small screen, nothing but icons. 7 years of looking at nothing but icons. That is a long time. I always thought I don't need to customize my phone. That is until I switched to Android and had the option to. Now I love it. My note 3 is wonderful. I also love having a microsd card. Paying Apple all that money for extra storage is painful. Memory has went way down in price **** Apple still charges out the but for it.

To each his own though. I'm glad I decided to make the switch. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. It's just icons icons icons......... lol

I don't really care about customizing too much. But the Note 3 is a really awesome device.

I don't think even a bigger screen could tempt me to go back. iOS will still be iOS meaning no widgets, no filling system, no customisation, no drag and drop.

I doubt they will allow SD cards or removable batteries or USB OTG

I don't really use any of the things you listed that much I don't know it's just my preference really I do like the simple clean look of ios and how everything just works. The battery life isn't that great on my note 3 either and the camera is really bad so I think I will be getting the next iphone even if it isn't bigger to be honest but I will be keeping my note 3 it is really a great phone but it's just not as good as my iPhone 5 was.

Oh don't get me wrong the iPhone isn't a bad phone and there are advantages to owning one. I think I prefer Android on my phone but I think Apple is still king when it comes to Tablets. I wouldn't swap my ipad for an android based tablet.

I'll give you that one. I don't like Apple and wouldn't want an iPhone but I'll agree that the iPad is king when it comes to tablets - in the same way I think the Note is king when it comes to phablets. That said, I have a Note 3 AND a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1in tablet. I'm good.

I see a lot of people mention it but what makes iMessage, or Facetime so good? I feel like you could just use Skype in place of either of those services, and even if you don't like Skype I'm sure there are plenty more services that offer the benefits they have.

Honestly face time doesn't require login/password or setup. People are ignorant so downloading Skype, logging in, making a user name are difficult tasks. Skype and Google hangouts offer exact same functionality. Imessage offers seamless group chat and syncs across multiple devices. It's not that group chat doesn't work with other Android Messenger programs, but imessage doesn't group chat well with non imessage users.

To the poster who misses the apple phone camera, are you crazy? The note 3 camera is top of the line.

Edit: just because you prefer FaceTime over Skype or another video program does not make you ignorant. I'm just saying that grandma's and other people who you want to video chat with have to set up Skype if they don't have FaceTime.

I've switched back and forth between android and iphone several times. I think im back to android to stay. I'm loving the big crisp screen of my s4. There's nothing new from apple that I want at this point.
