Your feelings are yours but global markets matter more to global tech companies than your pride in your home country's sales for that company. Making your "bragging rights" relevant only to you. Are you listening to yourself? So, the bragging rights are only relevant to me and no one else? No one else in this country has the same opinion as I do? Lol!
Actually, iPhone might outsell the smartphones globally that sell for high-end prices, but I am not sure. But in the U.S., it is a fact.

Exactly, it will be improved "somehow", just probably not in resolution. No need. It would be better to work on sensor size, aperture, color reproduction, etc.

We don't know, more than likely they will increase megapixels. Does it matter? Are you making the phone?

What the hell, are you? We are discussing on a forum and in telling you megapixels are overrated like GHz in CPUs. Now you feel stuck in your argument.
No I don't make the phone, but I know I'm right, 8mp is enough of you have a good sensor and if they add to that out will be for marketing.

"Better" is in the eyes of each user. For my use, iPhone is better. Later, I might go back to Android for a while, or WP8. I like all platforms.
As far as posting on other forums, you should check out the iPhone forums, as there is usually several fandroids on them telling how great Android is.

Either way its not a deal breaker, I'm just saying more megapixels might give less performance in low light settings, unless sensor gets bigger.

Either way I'm sure it will still be one of the best phone cameras out there outside possibly Lumias.

Please go reread what was written in the last pages and the links posted. It's clear more megapixels wouldn't help as much as other improvements. You obviously don't understand my explanations, so maybe rereading the links with extensive description of the megapixel myth would help you more then MW rewriting it again. Have a good day.

*sigh* so you argue against improvements then say it will still be good regardless yet, you think it is for advertising, when megapixels is rarely even mentioned in advertising. I hope you understand, you don't make sense.

1. 8mp is enough.
2. If they put more in the iPhone it will be for marketing reasons.
3. If you follow cell phones tech or camera tech, you know megapixels are basically the only selling point for cameras besides 4k video and OIS (120fps/slowmo on the 5S)
4. If they do put more MPs, it will probably still be best in class because they will probably make the sensor bigger.
5. Still not required IMO.

Hope that's simple enough for your reading skills. I'm done arguing you.
