Anyone thinkin about getting the iPhone 6 ????

Yep! Android is going to be shocked at how many people go back to the iphablet! Bunch of people got androids for the bigger screens!

This round, probably not. Just recently added a 5c to the line up of devices I own. Unless they sell a 6c, I really don't like that anondized aluminum and light weight feel of the 5s (Owned one for a month).

I probably won't be getting a Note 4 either as Samsung ticked me off by not honoring a hardware warranty due to software.

I was a definite yes about 3 weeks ago before swapping my 5 for this G2.... Now, not so much! Starting with Android then moving to iOS when Verizon got the 4, I thought iOS was it for me but of late I've found that I'm more an Android guy that experiments with iOS. SN...Sure wish VZW had a Nexus :D

I'm always taken aback when they say they're going to capture that much of the smartphone market. Not going to lie.

I agree with you. There won't be a change that large. My 65 year old Dad has an S3 and an iPad Mini and he said he'd still get an Android phone next time. Guess that means 100% of people won't change. Sure some people will try it out. Some people will think they don't want an iPhone anyway. Some iOS users will defect to Android for one reason or another. It won't be a 35% change. No way.

I do not think they are claiming to get 35% of the market. The survey was 4000 people, and 35% of those people said they would buy an iPhone.

Where did they make that claim?

So, your Galaxy has everything that was shown on iOS 8? I don't think so.

Yeah, okay. iOS 8 plus a larger screen will probably swing a lot of people to iPhones.

iPhone 6 Sales: Survey finds massive sales opportunity for iPhone 6 | BGR

IPhone didn't offer anything great with iOS 8. If you think they did good for you enjoy buying your iPhone. And yes the larger screen will sell phones for sure. Every time apple comes out with a new phone you will see a bunch of galaxys for sale then when samsung comes out with a new phone you will see a ton of iPhones for sale and so on and so on... I'm not against apple I just won't be buying the 6. Not after seeing that keynote on the iOS 8.

By the way, isn't it true that iPhones don't have carrier-installed bloatware? For example, would an iPhone have Verizon or AT&T apps pre-installed? I know a lot of Android phones have stuff on them from the carrier.

Also, I think you can easily buy an unlocked iPhone from any Apple store. If you want an unlocked Android phone, you probably need to get a Nexus phone.

Another thing is that iPhones have 64 GB models available. Storage on most Android phones usually max out at 32 GB.

You are correct that iPhones don't have carrier bloatware. As far as the internal storage, there are some Android devices that have 64GB of internal storage, but some don't need that much due to micro SD card support and cloud storage.

Sent from my iPad Air. Simply better than the rest.

The iPhone launch record is 9 million on launch weekend. I think that the iPhone 6 launch weekend will top 12 million, and will include a ton of Android converts. IMO, of course.

I think the larger screen size will make a huge difference with prospective buyers. It would be hard to pass up an iPhone with a 4.7 inch or 5.5 inch screen.

I've got the 5s atm and honestly I think I'm gonna safe my money and get me a wearable instead of the new iphone...i think the 5s will do good for some time, maybe iphone 7 will be my new one then:D

Yes it is totally true that carriers don't get to put bloatware on iPhones. This fact combined with carriers and manufacturers getting in the way of Android customers getting Google's latest and greatest, is a complete show stopper for me, that will result in me NEVER buying an Android phone. That part of the Android experience is just messed up. I have a 5S, and doubt that I will switch to the 6. Maybe the 6S or 7.

Get a Nexus or a Google Play edition phone. No bloatware & updates right away. Or a Moto X. Minimal bloatware & fast updates.

I honestly think the iPhone 6 will be my next phone, unless another manufacturer can really wow me :)

Well, there is not any doubt that the new iPhone6 will be launched with all new features. I have heard the rumors that this phone will be launched with 4.7 inch screen. That might call for the attraction of new users to switch over to this iPhone product.

I'll pick one up as I expect a significant update with the next iPhone.I do like the larger screen and the introduction of iOS 8.
