Anyone thinking about returning this phone and going to the S8?

I could like this a million times if I could.

At the end of the day, whatever phone we choose is based on our personal preference. Arguing and bashing over one's choice of phone gets us nowhere.

I've always said to buy and enjoy what you like best, and I will never stray away from that.

If the S8 series had a flat screen option I would not have boght the G6 but since it didn't I figured I'd see what the G6 was all about and I am pleasantly surprised. Definitely can't make a curved screen as my daily driver when a fairly comparable flat screen is an option.

The G6 has far exceeded my expectations in feel, camera and overall function. While the Samsung S8 looks very nice, I think it's curved display creates distracting vertical reflections on the sides of the screen. There is minimal LG bloatware on the G6 and most of what I have seen I find to be useful. Samsung overpacks their phones with an absurd number of nonsense apps that I resent having to work around.

I couldn't agree more. I would've held out for the S8 if they sold one with a flat screen. I'm quite sure the S8 camera is going to do better than the G6. That's their track record. In my opinion, there's no need for a curved screen and they are more fragile. I'm more than pleased with everything on my G6. By all means, if anyone can wait to try out both phones to see which one they prefer, then do it.

I've been an LG fan for a while (started with the lg volt) and I was looking forward to the lg g6 as being my upgrade from he g4. However the S8 simply is as good or better in every way for the same amount of money. And in samsungs case the VR goggles might be something I'll use, where as a TV and google home would just collect dust. I mean I could try and sell it, but w/e.

Anyways, it just came down to while the G6 looked good, I totally loved s7/8's oled screen, I love the wireless fast charge, and its got twice the internal amount of storage, all for the same price! Now I need to find a good home for the G6 spiggan case and tempered glass I purchased ahead of time.
