Anyone trying out DK28 yet?

Upgrade went great. Moved a bunch of apps to SD, downloaded Flash update, Air, etc.... Downloaded the Adobe Flash Showcase app (or you can goto m.flash.com) and went to the Cnet & Sony link, played some files and the sound was going really really slow and way behind the picture. Can anyone else confirm this? Also tried with both the stock browser and the latest skyfire browser and had the same result. Youtube and videos played off ESPN Mobile work fine, so I am thinking it's a flash issue.

Also it appears there is no music widget any longer, unless I am just missing it. I am using winamp (also glad to say shoutcast now appears in winamp) so it's not a huge deal but seems strange they removed the music player widget. I do have the music icon in my apps pages and the program works fine, just no widget. I do like how the Samsung and regular widgets are now combined into one section.

Update: Flash on fox.com is working fine for me.

ohh man im so excited i cant wait anymore, i think im going to go ahead an update. I was expecting froyo for my bday, but this is looking like an early birthday present! I am nervous as this is the first bit of tweaking im doing with my phone but i'm going to follow the instructions to a T and if i have any questions will post! I'll let you guys know the results either way

Sure is! We now have all the launcher features Not sure about the daily briefing widget - I already installed a custom ROM with a lot of apps removed.

Scared me for a sec as it took its sweet time but its all good. I ran quadrant and its obviously faster. So far im loving the new look. It feels like brand new.

Oh and isnt ragnarokx the name of a ship in FF8? Very cool username.

Ok i really don't want to mess up and i know this may be a dumb question but since im a newb i got to ask...do i just mount drag and drop or is there actually supposed to be a folder titled root?

The "root" of the SD card is just the lowest folder, which would be "sdcard/" - it's not a folder. So yes, if you mounted your phone on your computer, then just dragged and dropped the update.zip onto that folder that would be the root. Not a stupid question!

Hey I see you have helped a lot of people out, I need your help my I did the first part and my baseband says DK28 firmware still says 2.1 and I cant seem to get clockwork working to do the second part, I am rooted and cant seem to get wireless tether working either, I use a mac I have a windows machine if needed as well. I cant seem to get my phone to mount it always shows up under devices than disappears

Anybody else having force close problems with the camera, music and gallery app. I don't know if I should try installing from a new source or not.

I'm trying it now. The update.zip file worked fine. Did have to re-enter my Google password. New icons and more colorful is nice. Google Market learned something from Palm, and now has an Update All button. Seems a bit faster. Application view now not alphabetized.

Most important - the phone works.

The Multimedia Dock pass through to the speaker port doesn't seem to work, though. That is what I was actually hoping for the most.

aha thank you my good sir turns out i had installed correctly but named the file update.zip.zip or some foolishness. Worked like a charm and super easy, cant believe how simple it was, i LOVE this phone and android more and more every time i do something new with it!

What method did you use to update to Froyo? And did you use a program to resotre apps or data?

Alright just did a default restore and now everything is peachy no more closed apps. So if anyone is having any issues just do a factory restore and reinstall your apps..it's worth it.

I also noticed it seems to be holding onto a 4G signal better. I travel a lot, and one place I frequent is barely on the edge of a 4G coverage area, and I'm usually lucky to get 1 (of the 3) bars of 4G signal, but after the update I am getting 2 bars steady with no disconnects.

Lost my alarm clock, that app is gone and replaced with clock.. Anyone who uses this to wake up for work like me, make sure to redo your alarms !!!!!
