I use the qwerty key board as my primary all the time. Might have to check out swype though.

You have an option for the keyboard in portrait mode (full qwerty, phone keypad, and compact qwerty). Compact qwerty is like suretype for the Storm. The area that you touch becomes bigger so you can be more accurate.

I wouldn't describe it that way at all. The size of the keys does not change. Instead, each key handles 2 letters, like the BB Pearl keyboards. Text prediction is used to determine which of the 2 letters should be used.

Both the blackberry pearl and storm have suretype keyboards. The hitting area for the keys are bigger. Like you said, there are too letters per key, which makes the keys twice as big.

Oops -- I just realized you weren't implying that the key size becomes bigger while you're typing the word. That's the way the ThickButtons Android keyboard works.

My problem with the HTC sense keyboard is the darn . I.hit.it.too.much.thinking.I.hit.the.space.bar. It is not needed and the space bar should be bigger. Unless that is another Apple patent that they don't want to get hammered for.

I do that a lot too. I also somehow hit the shift up key and I have capital letters that should not be capitalized. I have gotten much better than when I started, but it is still annoying.

Anyone else experience unnecessary capitalization when typing on the Hero? If I Am typing really fast, I notice that there are letters capitalized that I I didn't intend to capitalize. Also, I have noticed that it makes some of my words plural when I didn't want it.
