I currently have Comcast but Directv is being install on Nov. 3rd and im considering getting the Revue, but I would like to know if any of you have the Revue and Directv already and how is it working? Does the Keyboard control all aspects of the set top box, ie. DVR functions? If it works well I will be getting the Revue and Moving my laptop from being connected to the TV in the Living room to being connected to the TV in the bedroom.

Works Perfect

All controls work with brand new DVR installed last week. Interface works great from your android phone as a remote as well..

Could you share the model number of your HD-DVR so i can check mine when it gets installed?

Since Dish has better integration with GTV (two way communication, access to recording list, scheduling recording from GTV search results, etc), have you considered to get Dish instead of DTV?

Also the VIP 922 from dish has a Sling box built in. I travel 1 to 2 weeks amonth and am never without my dish service thanks to the built in Slingbox. I love it! My local news and all anywhere in the country i'm at!

Im already signed up. DTV works better in my area than Dish. Both my neighbors have had both and said DTV is much better.

The one major concern I have is that I have all my Movies on a 2TB external HDD and from what Im seeing is that it cant be hooked up to the Revue. For the whole idea of "All Your Media In One Place", this is a pretty big letdown

Works great, I have the HR-22 receiver. The app for the android phone works well also. I have 2 TB of movies on my computer and they all stream fine. The only problem I have now is that when watching sports the picture looks like a 10 year old sports clip. Seems like the signal is slowed a bit leaving the revue box.

How are you streaming them? I have been thinking of getting a 2TB or more NAS HDD but im not sure if thats really necessary. For example here is my proposed setup one I get everything installed.

TV in living room with Revue and HD DVR DirecTv all connected thru Ethernet Cable and PS3 connected thru Ethernet or Wireless.

TV in bedroom HDMI connected to Laptop(running wireless internet), External HDD connected to Laptop thru USB and second HD DirecTv.

I just want to be able to access the movies on the External HDD from both TV's without having to move the HDD. Anyone have any simple ways of making this possible? I was hoping the Revue would be capable of this but i guess i was either misinformed or just wishful thinking. Maybe the new PogoPlug Pro connected to the laptop would work because its uses the cloud and maybe i could access that from the Revues built in Chrome browser.

mudvayne, you could use tversity to share your media on the harddrive from the laptop to the revue, for that matter, the hr-22 also supports upnp, just go to "photos videos and more" or whatever the option is called on your menu. I share all of my media around the house using an aspire windows home server, which has a built in upnp client.

This option I like. I do belive that is the STB im getting from DirecTv. Do I need both the STB and My PC connected through Ethernet cable for this to work or can I have the STB connected through Ethernet and the Laptop connected wirelessly? Sorry Im VERY new to all this streaming stuff.

DirecTV and Google TV, Slingbox

My model number is HR-24 DVR receiver - with 2 IR eyes in front of it 1 for the Slingbox (which streams the HD output to my Droid X) and 1 for the Google TV which I can remote control using my Droid X. System works beautifully.. Was up north all weekend and watched by DVR while the wife shopping in the mall..

I'm pretty sure the laptop could be wireless, as long as they're on the same network... no promises about performance though.

jrmuller - any chance you have sunday ticket with the "to go" option? I'd started another thread about it, but would love to know if the flash page works on gtv before I drop the loot.

It would be fantastic if gtv added sling like functionality... I also have a slingbox, which I use to watch tv in a second room without paying for two boxes, but it would be great to only have one unit.

I'm guessing you're using the component outs to the sling and the hdmi pass-through to the gtv, or are you running hdmi through both boxes?

Sunday Ticket to go worked wonderfully on my Sony BluRay google tv hooked up to Dish Network this weekend. I was very impressed. This alone makes it worth it. I was using my neighbors direct tv info.

I have a two year HR-21-100 and it works great, I can control everything for the keyboard, DVR, pause, play, record. The IR range on for controlling other devices is great.

Fantastic. That's the killer app right there.

Were you able to connect to Slingbox thru 'Spotlight'

I have tried but after it tries to load SlingPlayer I get an error message.

Any ideas?
