Anyone waiting until the holiday shopping season for the Pixel 2 XL?

Yes, it would be. Trouble is, if I get one my teenage son and wife will want one too. We all got Moto Droid Turbos at Christmas 2014. My oldest son got the Pixel XL last Christmas.

I got the OG Pixel for the 240 Best buy deal last year. I was going to wait again and see what Black Friday deals were like for the Pixel 2 but when I saw the online special at Verizon I jumped at the chance to get it now. Right now Verizon is offering a 30 day return period with no restocking fee for online orders only. I took advantage last night which means I have the phone now, but if any Black Friday deals come up that are too good to miss, I can return this phone hassle free and rebuy at a better price! Also, if you're military, and you're adding a new line of service to your account then get the military discount put on your account and then ask about the $200 MasterCard gift card.

I am trying to decide if i should. I want to take advantage of the $300 trade-in for my S7 deal on Verizon. Normally it would be 150 but they have a special right now. Do you think there will be better black friday deals that if i add in my normal trade-in of 150 and the holiday deal will make it better? What did they do for the XL last year?

The big issue I have with any of these Verizon deals is they don't deduct the deal off the purchase price... With the deal they still charge you full price and then give you a monthly rebate off your payment which means you have to finance it and if you pay it off early you loose the amount you would have got for the following payments.

For example, if they have a deal for $300 off, you have to finance the phone for the full price then they deduct $12.50 off your payment each month... Then if you pay the phone off after 12 months, to maybe upgrade, the you loose $150 of the deal.

So, I pulled the trigger, and ordered the panda 128 GB Verizon version. I just can't wait on Google to re-stock their unlocked versions anymore. Hope someone can figure out how to unlock the VZ version's bootloader. Anyways, ship date is supposedly today (11/4), arriving on 11/6.

If Verizon or Best Buy does have a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal, I have the online-only 30 day return window. Thanks again for the tip, sumner929!
