Anyone Wish They Would've Waited For Another Phone?

There is always a new phone on its way. You can't always wait. You have to make a choice and jump in. besides, you can usually upgrade after about 18 months.

Of course now that the SGS2 is finally announced, I wish I had waited for it. No way it costs more than $199 on AT&T, because it has to compete with the iphone. I still have a few days to exchange if I want. But, I think I'll be keeping the Inspire. I chose it over the Infuse, to which the SGS2 is similar.

I've had my Inspire for about two and a half wees and I love it. I upgraded my Torch to get it. I don't regret the change one bit. I got tired of the clumsiness of the blackberry. Ive discovered a few bugs on android but I don't regret the change one bit.

I bought my Inspire off contract for 250 mint off ebay. The infuse was fetching 400. I couldn't justify spending the extra $150. I think I made the right decision. (I was coming from a Backflip and just couldn't take it anymore!! I used my BF's SIMcard, input a new APN, and I was good to go with the inspire.)

One thing I hate... the battery. I bought a couple more off ebay w/ a charger. The phone itself is amazing, especially compared to what I had before...aka the world's worst smartphone.

When I am eligible for an upgrade, I'll get myself either the infuse or the gs2. My wife wants my phone. She has a nasty 3g iphone. It's horribly slow and laggy, just like my backflip.

I had wanted the Samsung Galaxy S2 but when I picked up the Inspire I was sold. The phone just felt right and I was not happy with the feel of many of the Samsung phones. So no....I am glad I got this phone when I did. Even if it wasn't the new phone on the market.

HTC Sense is a great UI compared to Touchwiz or Motoblur. I know you can install your own ROM, but I don't want to Root.

I don't wish I would have waited (I got mine in June) for the GS2, because June to Sept/Oct is a while to wait (I had a crappy flip phone before, smartphones are great). I will be able to upgrade in Dec 2012, so I will get a new shiny right around the corner.

The Inspire was my 2 year upgrade so I am stuck with the phone for the next 2 years. Happy with the decision. Solid phone. Only frustration is the battery life but I have managed and at some point I plan on getting one of the Seidio extended batteries.

First post here! (yay!)

I had a pretty good debate over whether to get the Inspire or wait for the SG2. I got a pretty sweet deal on the inspire and I just didn't like touchwiz. The battery life does kind of suck, but I work from home and have a car charger so I haven't ran into a situation where I got screwed by drain....yet anyways.

I do wish it had a front facing camera though. I chat a lot with family and friends and well it would be nice to have a more convenient means of video chatting. This alone has me considering the SG2 since my 30 day trial isn't up yet.

However I won't be trading. I already dropped the phone on concrete while out on a run and though it got a little ding on the sim car door, the phone appears unscathed. I prefer a solid and heavy phone.

I can't think of any phone i would rather have waited for. The inspire is well-built and has more than enough hardware to keep up with my needs. I had the intention of buying the infuse, but the front facing camera and slightly better processor/screen didn't seem to be worth the extra $100 especially when you factor in the lower amount of RAM.

One thing i will say is after the GB update I was really disappointed with how laggy it became. HTC sense force closed pretty frequently as well. I got fed up and rooted it, and I couldn't be happier with it now. But not everyone can be expected to void their warranty and hack their phone to get it to work better. If I was less tech savvy, I would be stuck being frustrated with HTC's support. Just a thought.
