Anyone with LG G4 with serial 505 ?

I paid full price for my phone without a contract in June of 2015. I was hoping my phone would last me for three years. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to finagle buying a new phone as soon as I can, because I don't trust that my refurbished replacement will even last until this June. I really loved this phone, especially the camera. I am so enticed by what I'm reading about the LG V20, but I'm terrified of buying another LG. I guess I'll either be getting a Samsung Galaxy or I'll be going back to the iPhone. The Lumia 920 Windows phone is supposed to have a great camera, but I am not paying for a smartphone that barely has any apps. An exceptional camera is a must, or I'd consider the Google Nexus.

Hi
Thanks for the info, I don´t know if you can help me. A few days ago I bought an Lg G4 H815 in Amazon without knowing about the issue, it is still unopened so I can return it if I want to but I would like to know if the serial number I bought is affected by the problem. My phone serial number starts with the numbers 406kpd, from what I have been reading only phones with serials beginning with 5 or 6 are affected but if someone can confirm if the phones with serial numbers beginning with 4 have the problem I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Are you sure that's from the serial number? For the G4, the first number indicates the year of manufacturer, and the last two indicate the month. So a 505 (the first batch produced) was made in 2015, in May. A 406 serial number would indicate 2014, in June, which was before the G4 was produced. So double check you're reading the right numbers. I think it should also state the manufacture date explicitly on the box label.

I've never bought a phone from Amazon before, but that kind of makes me skeptical that it's not a knockoff or something. Maybe someone else can vouch for that serial number

Thanks for your answer, please if someone else has seen this serial number let me know.
Thanks

not ALL of 505 s/n's have failed. I have had my 505 for a year and a half now. Never over heats and is working perfectly

I purchased a new G4 back in Feb 2015 from a Ebay seller. They were selling off stock that came from Sams Club as it had a sams sku sticker on the stock LG box. Anyway it was brand new or returned possibly. It is a 505 and I have not had any problems with it like others have.

Honestly, if and when this thing BL's......I do not know to get in place of it. By far the best phone for customizing and that camera....oh that camera and screen size with vol. buttons and power on back. That is what I value the most with it.
