Anyone with N4 considering HTC ONE?

I'm curious how many people who have the N4 are seriously considering the HTC ONE? I love my N4 but the black HTC one is looking dead sexy..

I'm thinking about it. It would look much nicer next to my iPhone 5 than the Nexus 4 does. I'm just not sure of that interface. I don't know if I could handle Android with a skin.

Sense is actually my favorite of the major overlays, and the One is very sexy, but not over-600-for-unlocked sexy...

Not going to switch to anything other then Nexus phones. I'm really really enjoying vanilla android and Dont want to deal with skinned versions or carriers again. Not gonna be signing anymore two year contracts for a phone.

I'd love to but its a little out of my budget... having said that i bought the iphone 4 for ?500 when it came out off contract. The HTC reminds me of how great the original iphone 4 design was. I also am afraid of slow updates, although if they build PA onto this then i may consider. I really wanted a good camera and slightly better battery life on the nexus 4. i suspect he ONE has simialr battery life. Only real thing i miss from my iphone is that i used to charge it once in 3 days or 4 days (light user) compared every other day with the nexus 4

If I could combine the build of the One with my Nexus 4, I think that phone would be close to perfect.

The build on the One makes it tempting, but the fact that there are only two buttons, plus HTC's history of upgrade delays make it a non starter for me.

According to Alex, neither hardware button can be mapped as a menu button, so you will get that ugly black bar with the menu dots in the middle of it.

I have nothing against HTC specifically. I loved my EVO 4G on Sprint. However, I have a Nexus 4 because I want a Nexus 4 for what it is, not because I'm, for example, awestruck by it or Google.

Additionally, I've experimented with the various different available launchers out there (ADW, GoLauncher EX, LauncherPro, Nova Launcher) and I still keep coming back to the native one because, in the end, it's got everything I want and works very well.

I need LTE more than I need faster OS updates so my solution is simple: Buy an LTE Phone and a Nexus tablet and get the best of both worlds

Life is much easier if you choose to love the one you're with. I decided 3 phones ago that I was only buying Nexus devices for as long as Nexus devices are made. Life is better this way...I no longer care what anyone outside of Google comes out with...it saves a lot of research time, and doesn't leave me wanting.

Don't EVEN look at the menu.... just keep eating at home!

I agree with a few of you. My hopes are that HTC gets the next Nexus contract and we have a similar build quality for the N5. Per the direction that Nexus is going with keeping the costs down to offer at a low price, I doubt we'll see these materials on a Nexus in the near future though.

I'm going to Pass on the HTC One and GS4 hype. While I think both devices are appealing, I find most manufactures skins and special features gimmicky.

My only real complaint with the N4 is the camera. Other than that, I'll take vanilla and no contract any day!

That's so funny...I never look at the menu. For example, at every Italian restaurant we go to, I don't even pick up the menu, I just order spaghetti and meatballs. The way I see it, if you don't order the same thing from a certain ethnic eatery, how could say that one place is better than another. You've got to have a base line. For me, my phone base line is the Nexus. I guess we've all got our issues. :p

HTC is making mistakes in the software department. S4 which released 10 days after HTC one got Android 4.2.2?
whats up with One running 4.1? HTC market is declining and this is one reason.

No, not seriously or even mildly or even slightly. I hope it's a hit for HTC I really do, it's just not for me. I'm finding my appreciation for my Nexus 4 deepening more each day that passes.

I waiting to see if the Motorola X is real and if it is then that will probably be my next phone.

if not then the htc one is next on my list or see what the next nexus phone will be like.

I like the n4 but a few things... No LTE (not a real deal breaker but would like, not the greatest battery life, and not absolutely perfect with ATT where simultaneous voice/data is poor).

Google Android updates and my TMo $30 Unlimited Data and 100 minutes with no contract have me happy with N4.

HTC One looks good though. I have had 2 HTC phones (myTouch3g and myTouch4g) both were solid phones.

OK screw it, I'm pulling a complete 180 from my previous stance and I'm choosing a Nexus 4. Here's why-

Carrier branded OEM androids cost too much money for what you get in return and the technology on smartphones changes too rapidly to keep me satisfied with the same phone for any longer than 1 year.

Although my carrier doesn't reduce my monthly bill even if I DON'T subsidize the price through them, I still don't want to lock into 2 year contracts on something I don't want after 1 year.

The phone wars are moving into the sub-$400 range. You can get a n4 for that. Nokia just released some really feature packed windows phones for under $400. Latest rumors of the Motorola X say they could be offering us options to customize your hardware specs on the online purchase form and possible nexus level pricing.

Things are moving so fast I don't see any other solution to satisfy my gadget addiction other than buying off contract and using the resale market to turnover my toys as I get bored with them. I'm also sick and tired of flashing ROMS just to bypass the OEM'S dropping support after just a year so you'll buy their newest hardware.

As a tech lover, I am always attracted to great new phones. However, whenever the newest version of Android releases, I'm reminded of why I love having a Nexus. My phone has it immediately, and I get to watch people with non-Nexus devices and moan about how long it's taking for their phones to get the latest version.
