Anyone worried about dust getting into the screen area?

I'm loving the EVO and this is not a complaint or regret in any way, but is anyone worried about dust getting into the screen area?

I have the Best Buy Platinum case on there right now but when I take it off to clean the EVO, I notice that dust is getting into the tiny cracks on the screen edges. Over time, I think it'll get more and more worse.

I would hate to have dust get under the screen and be an eyesore.

i hope not. I had the HTC Hero and had four of them before I finally gave up and got another phone. Hpefully not. "fingers crossed"

Really. Folks should spend more time enjoying the Evo and less time future tripping about things that may happen...dust or light leaking for Pete's sake!

I can certainly understand people being overly sensitive to this issue considering how wide spread the problem was on the Hero. I get more and more dust under my Hero screen every week.

Cleaning Method?

Is there a way to clean the dust off? How difficult would that be to take apart the phone? Can the screen even be detached to clean?

Coming from a BB storm that had TONS of dust under the screen, I sure hope this phone wont get it.

Does the dust literally go under the screen? Or does it stay in the crackks on the sides?

The Hero had some serious issues with the dust getting under the screen. I'd say it accumulated as far as .75 inches away from the corners in the LCD area in my experience.

With the EVO, I can see it as least getting accumulated into the cracks and created a light colored border of dust around the beautiful black screen, but hopefully it doesn't get under the screen.

In bright sunlight I'm already seeing some dust under my screen in the upper left. Friggin great. Why is the workmanship on cell phones today so shoddy?

I wonder if anyone will devise a mod to combat this issue?

In a disassembly video I watched the LCD seemed to be glued into the frame so this may be less of a concern than some are making it out to be. Hopefully the dust only gathers in the cracks and doesn't go any further.

Maybe my dust was just there, happened in manufacturing, and I just noticed it? That would be better than knowing dust is getting in there somehow right now.

You'd think if the Hero had this problem HTC would've learned from that.

just another reason to get a seidio case...it makes it harder for the dust to get in the cracks, and thus the screen

I think dust is inevitable since my iPhone also had dust under screen n its also a widespread issue if u simply Google it.

With that said I think wit the Evo will b excessive since there sees to b a tiny gap around the screen. I'm assuming this is normal on the Evo? Since some members seem to b referring to this. Seems dumb to leave such a gap which will become a dust magnet.

Apparently Sprint repair can pull off the front screen and clean it out. It is part of what they do with the EVO specifically. (From the horses mouth. Tech in the store by me gave me this info.)

Do they only do this if you have a warranty?

Also, is it worth trying to return this and get a new one?
