Yeah it's really one of the best features on this phone and it winds up saving you battery life. There is no reason not to use itSame. I like just being able to glance over without picking the phone up and pressing the power button.

I'm assuming my device had some form of issue with AOD.My Note 8 is the first phone I've had with AOD, and I really like it. It's very handy to see the time, day, date and, of course, texts, emails other notifications at a glance. If you double-tap, say, on the text icon and swipe the screen behind AOD it opens the text (email, whatever) for quicker viewing than the more traditional way. Plus I know when things hit if I happen to miss my sound notification for some reason. In checking the battery usage, AOD draws very little power. As far as burn-in, the AOD display is always moving around on the screen (maybe just a few pixels difference from where it was previously) so that burn-in will not be an issue with AOD.
Not always.AOD should not cause any burn in. The display moves around to prevent burn in; you can actually tell as sometimes it will be closer to the top and other times more towards the middle.
