Was running code name and made the jump to AOKP. Was OK with it then toyed with a few things and BAM I was in my glory. Super fast great and I mean GREAT battery life averaged most 26 hours with extended.

Now after one of the last two updates I've lost the battery life and performance. I also am running Franco's kernel. And only new I really have been using is fish live.

Any advice or preferred/suggested kernal rom update layout?

AOKP seems better performance-wise in B31 than it did in B2X. I usually flashed the AOKP-based Black Ice because it was faster, but there's no need now with B31.

For pure performance, you should try CM9. And if you really want to push it, flash a good Trinity test kernel - morfic built CM9's Kernel Samepage Merging into his kernel, which you can enable by uncommenting a few lines in the init.d script 98tweak (and of course checking the KSM box in Settings under Performance). This is the fastest combo I've found so far, but I'm loving the multitude of AOKP features so much I'm giving up some speed for extra features.

I just flashed back to one of my old back ups. Thanks though.

Its pretty amazing I'm on 16 hours battery life with 44% left. Before I flashed back 6 to 7 hours total.

Build 31 with Franco's 133 Nightly kernel is great. You should definitely try it out.
