Been searching high and low but to summarize what I'm doing, I couldn't find a ROM I liked so I put a deodexed stock at&t rom on and I've been making my own customizations. I'm using nova and I have Rosie disabled, which means no lockscreen shortcuts. I just want instant camera access, so I Googled it and I found all you had to do to get the stock lockscreen was delete HTCLockscreen.apk and idlescreen_base.apk and reboot. Works like a charm with a catch: The sense dialer uses the sense lockscreen to show call information when your phone is locked. Delete that stuff and you have to unlock the phone to see whose calling and answer or ignore. Is there a workaround to fix this, ie an app that auto wakes the phone when an incoming call is coming in?

I kid you not, great battery life!!! I'm a heavy user, so I got 6 hours with the stock ROM. But with WCX ROM, I average out at 10 hours. Overclocked at 1.5 GHz, debloated, WiFi Hotspot/Tethering enabled, etc. And at this site: WCXXPERIA-NCE ILLUMINATI SERIES Just gotta make an account, do 11 posts, and you'll get their custom recovery and ROM. Amazing. I love it!!!

Finally put it on, and it has breathed new life into this phone. However I unintentionally broke some of the mods not realizing titanium backup would break it. Battery life isn't much better, wifi bug still intact, tethering disabled, all because I accidentally restored some data I shouldn't have. But the speed is insane! In a couple of days or so I'll install it again and start from scratch

Yes, you must WIPE EVERYTHING!!! You cannot restore anything from another ROM, as it will break the ROM. As for the WiFi bug...did you flash the "boot.img" before AND after flashing the ROM?

Yeah I did that. Wifi works fine I'm talking about the infamous bug from the stock rom, where it'll randomly turn wifi on when it's turned off, which I believe is a result from something I restored with tb.

The point is, when doing a new ROM with a new KERNEL, don't restore anything!!! I cannot stress that enough! It broke 2 builds of mine by doing that.

Will do. I don't play games and the stuff I can't afford to loose is on my sd anyway, it's just convenient. Oh well

Yeah I knew that. I'm no rookie to this sort of thing, in fact I was quite the crack flasher on my captivate. Nonetheless thanks for your help
